DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS MOVER! DBA Cross Country A stressful disaster from beginning to end! Received phone quote that was reasonable for a move from Florida to Mississippi. Provided partial credit card payment to hold late January move date. 2 days before loading spoke with QA rep for 50 minutes to verify inventory; number and size of boxes, dimensions of furniture pieces; every item to be moved. Price increased by $1200. Another credit card payment was needed to secure pick up date. On pick up date after 80% was loaded, was informed cubic feet exceeded quote more $ required. I called QA and asked why 50 minutes on the phone with exact numbers was not accurate. He hung up. The loading lead mover called a supervisor and I was charged an additional $2000. Credit card payment was refused, so a check was written to cover loading. The movers wanted to deliver in 3 days. My home didn’t close for 3 and I had 2 day drive ahead. They informed me my furniture would be moved to storage before delivery at no charge. They forgot my 6’ step ladder and couldn’t return to pick up. It was included on the pickup inventory. Next morning after pickup, I received another call from yet another customer care person stating I need to pay monies to make up 70% of costs to ensure delivery. This payment could only be done via wire transfer or zelle. A different customer care supervisor heard my complaints and ensured that a higher level manager would contact me with 24 hours. 3 days later left message and I have never heard back. Now the delivery: 2 days late, at least 2 other households on van that was packed to the roof. These contract movers stood on my furniture to access boxes at the very top. Broken floor lamp, missing leather desk chair, knob on dryer was broken, printer stand leg broken, and more. Most damage because of careless disregard and rushing. I took photos, filled claim and still had to make multiple calls and send multiple emails for updates. Informed my claim was only worth $75. Was told my home owner insurance policy should cover damage and losses. Perhaps I didn’t realize that movers don’t insure goods they move anymore? Still doesn’t excuse the neglect.
This was the second time that I used Happy Moving Systems. I moved last week from San Jose to San Francisco. Each time was great and I highly recommend this company for their low prices, no added fees and quality of work. This past move they even sent an extra mover for free! I've used other moving companies in the past and have either felt uneasy around the movers or paid way too much. This is a great company that will do a great job.
By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. Was promised my stuff on a certain date and didn’t end up receiving it until over a month after the promised date. The worst part about was that they had recorded the conversation I had with the original salesperson and yet they did nothing to rectify either by getting me my stuff ASAP or any financial restitution. Oh and it gets better they lost a lot of my stuff. Plus I found stuff that was not mine. There pictures and paintings that looked like they could have been valuable to the original owners. This company is awful. If I could give it negative stars I would. Literally nothing in my apartment for over a month. And they took absolutely no responsibility so don’t think they would do anything to help you.
Moving company that doesn’t move, we slept on the floor for 7 days at our new place while waiting for their truck. Delivered our nice Italian furniture all damaged up. Known as Apex at this address. Beware.
This is the best company for long distance moves. When I hired them I was confident that they would do well. Spartan Moving System crew gave me that confidence when I was talking about the scheduling my move with them. Their moving team showed absolute control over everything. They made the task look so easy. They showed up on time, displayed great packing skills, carefully loaded all the products and delivered everything on time at the other end. I did not have to see anything broken or damaged. They were flawless from the start to finish.
