Review:

This company is very unprofessional and customer service is nonexistent. I originally booked a move through Nationwide Moving Services and they outsourced the move to Stop and Move. Items arrived over a week late and I'm still missing thousands of dollars of items with no date estimate of when or if the rest of my items will arrive. Customer service won't respond to voicemails, and when I do reach someone in person they can't provide me with any information about my missing items.

Standard moving scam. They'll charge way more than they quote you for and just be overall difficult to work with.

They serve is worst than Comcast. I had over $7500.00 in damages and received $365.00 with their insurance. The guy walked in my door and added $4500.00 to my bill because I lived in a big house in a nice area.

At best they’re horrible, at worse criminal. My wife and I used a moving broker to arrange our move. They assured us that they only use the most reputable and trusted movers. They lied.

We had a quote for the move based on what we had told them we had and the point of pick up ( at our storage unit in Norwalk CT to our new home in Delray Beach Florida). They wanted 50% upfront to guarantee pick up with the balance to be paid upon delivery.

Stop and move contacted us a few days before our scheduled pick up demanding 50% of the balance owed. It was then that we discovered that the price quoted was not the price of the move. Seems that the contract they emailed us to docusign were cut off on the bottom.

They said if we didn’t pay their amount demanded we would be in breach of contract and forfeit the 50% payment we already paid and we simply wanted our personal belongings so we paid them ( mistakenly).

After picking up our storage unit we called and asked when we could expect delivery since again the contract said upon pick up delivery in 2-6 days. They informed us that they would be bringing our storage unit to their warehouse and they would deliver it anytime from 2 to 21 business days and that we would receive a call only when they were nearby and not before. When I explained that we live in a HOA community and need to give them 48 to 72 hours they said that wasn’t their problem.

When they finally did get down to Florida to make the delivery they had the wrong delivery items. It took us 10 minutes to convince them that those belongings were not ours. They said they would be back in 2 hours. 5 hours later they tried to redeliver our belongings. I reminded them that they could not enter the community after 5 pm and they had to come back the next day. We argued about that as they wanted us to try and convince the security guards to make an exception and did not want to hear about rules and policies. Eventually they agreed to come back the following day.

. When they did they demanded payment before anything was taken off the truck. We reluctantly paid as we were were hoping to turn the page on this terrible experience. What we discovered was a nightmare. Some of our fine China that had been in my wife’s family for decades was broken. These pieces cannot be replaced. Ceramic gifts also having great value both financially and sentimentally were broken. Boxes were marked glass very fragile handle with care. Other boxes marked personal items were ripped open and resealed and others were reboxed.

If anyone ever uses this company again you have to be out of your mind. Read their reviews as others have had similar experiences.
