I rented my current space in March 24, and just received a notice 8 months later with a 25% rate increase. While this is legal, it relies on the fact they can charge your card and hope you don't notice or pay attention. These subscription type services are getting scrutiny for a reason. I think SROA should have a more reasonable policy and better communication.
