If I could give 0 stars I would. I was just charged for a whole month even though I am moving out less than one week into the month and they say company policy is not to pro-rate the time I am actually in the unit and will not refund me for the entire rest of the month. This is an obvious money grab and I will never recommend red dot to anyone ever again. This is a terrible “company policy” and not a way to treat customers. This facility was so much better when it was Panther storage. If you are going to rent a month here definitely make sure you use the entire time or else you are essentially getting ripped off.
New renters, so far so good no issues. Gate code has worked every time.
Renting a storage unit for the Summer with Reddot was a breeze. It took only a few minutes. I was not certain about the 'Move in' button that was there after finishing the rental process. Since I wanted to wait until May 1 and I did not choose it until May 1.
In late August after my son had moved out of the unit I went online to move out and cancel my autopay for September. The Move Out did not process properly.
In trying to work with customer service to figure out this mess and the billing and late charge notices I find that in my case it has been EXTREMELY difficult . Phone tree did not seem to help, but then when a call went through, it was never answered, even when leaving my number for call back. Same thing for leaving a message for Contact on website. I left a message, and never heard back. Finally I tried chat. It took a lot of waiting but I thought we had things resolved.
I continue to get texts and emails asking for payment plus late fees.
So while I am still happy with the ease of renting a unit, and happy with the physical aspects of the facilty. The Colorado based customer service gets a 1.
Still trying to resolve things 3 weeks later.
