Clean and secure

I was looking for a storage unit that was near my new home and red dot storage was right there on Pinecrest and very convenient. I was able to set up my account online and it was pretty easy and self-explanatory. I also got 50% off my first month so that was nice. They give you a code that you punch in when you get there to gain entry at the Gated storage unit. Upon exiting you just pull up close to the gate and it automatically opens. A couple times we pulled up to the storage unit the gate was stuck open so that was a little strange I'm not sure how often that happens but we've never seen any damage or evidence of any tampering. My only complaint is that the storage unit that we have has a handicap sticker on it and often our door actually gets stuck and we really have to mess with it to get it to open all of the way it's quite inconvenient because when it gets stuck it's only opened about four feet and it's very difficult to get open. But then a couple of times it's opened right up so those were nice situations of course. We only need the storage for one more month so I think we'll just deal with that in the meantime. But yeah besides that it's a nice storage unit you get a lot of space for the price and it's nice that it's off in its own little area.

Do not recommend. While it looked to be an upkept facility, their service is poor and security is not good. They offer to see at the facility the special 'anti-theft locks, but the kiosk is always empty, so I used regular padlock to start with, and then yy unit was broken into within two weeks. Process to file a claim is very slow, still working on that. The 'automatic' security gate is stuck open many times, so anyone can just drive in. They tore up the entrance for new concrete but didnt even send out a notice to let customers know that the units would not be available for that time period. I have moved out, but have been on hold for almost 20 minutes just trying to close my account. Go local and store somewhere else. Not happy at all with our experience.
