Let's start from the beginning. I was evicted so my mother got me a unit last minute. Something close to the apartment we were leaving. so she chose here. After paying her monthly charge and insurance consistently
I was under the impression my possession were safe. And i was wrong. Often times i would come around and the gate would be stuck open. Or I'd go to leave and the gate wouldn't open on the other side. Because it was stuck open. All seemed fine however, until I arrived a little after Halloween. To find my tv was missing but somehow the lock still remained. Filing reports I was at a loss. So i grabbed a few things, reorganized and left. Only to find a few months later that more was missing including the lock. i grabbed all I could fit in my car fearing for my last possessions. I filed the report. Called the insurance. I've been told four different ways I need proof of my things. Things you are supposed to have on camera. No one takes a before and after picture. You are supposed to be keeping people's stuff secure. I found the cut lock inside my unit. But to my surprise st Joe pd didnt want this piece of evedence. According to them this happens all the time. I've had enough bad happen to me the last two years. I deserve retribution for my lost items. What was the purpose of the insurance? They are a scam. Do not trust your belongings to red dot storage.

My disabled mother rented a unit and had everything she owned in it. It was boke into. I only seen a camera on the main building. No footage was released to my mother or police. Few months later it flooded because the drainage system is completely full off debris. She lost 80% or her belongings. Two claims were filed They denied both claims on day 1 of 10 day review.
