Still great customer service at this location. My door kept rolling down on me so the girls went out there with a ladder and tightened it for me. I’m 70 years old and I couldn’t be more grateful
3 Year Update - I've given up and gotten nowhere, despite the owner's response to this review. Zero responsibility was taken by the storage company. BBB investigated, found wrong-doing and did nothing.
2 Year Update after Move-Out: iStorage did NOT honor pest damage as an insurance claim, and reduced our total compensation down to just a couple hundred dollars. Despite repeated phone calls to the number in the comment to this review, to the Better Better Business Bureau and to others at iStorage, we never received compensation for our lost furniture. I would NOT recommend anyone use this company for storage services. Furniture that was just six months old was a total loss and not a single person at iStorage took the time to honor their insurance coverage and take care of us.
Sadly, I had to delete my 5-star review after trying to resolve a dispute regarding my unit, which has gone unanswered by iStorage for six months now. Back in 2021, our storage unit (which we occupied for about 8 months) was infested by rats. We did not notice major issues until we were emptying the unit out in December and found that they had nested in several pieces of furniture. We lost about $1,600 in furniture as a result including a couch, chair and dining set that were less than a year old.
We purchased the mandatory insurance when we rented the unit and I filed the claim with the local branch immediately following our move out. It's now the beginning of July and I have not heard from iStorage for about 3 months. I contacted the BBB for assistance, and they just notified me that they received no callback from iStorage and my issue would be closed and cataloged on their website.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. There are so many options for storage, and I'm doubtful this review will actually make a difference, but if I can avoid this headache for someone else, I've done my part.
All though climate control, I would not recommend this business. After the first change in management, service has declined substantially. We have left repeated messages for contacting the local manager which have not been returned over the last week. Calls from me during regular business hours yet no one ever picks up. First management change, Istorage and subsequent change to Rental America, only increased the storage cost twice in the first year with reduced service, no on site customer service contact, broken gate. No prorated monthly cost when contract terminates mid month.
