Storage Sense - Evans

If possible I’d give negative stars. YOUR BELONGINGS ARE NOT SAFE HERE!!! This is not a business that cares for its customers. My parents have been loyal paying customers for 10+ years (when it was previously Hollywood self storage and now Storage Sense). 2 weeks ago, my father got a notice that he owed a late fee which was shocking to him. When he called to investigate he was told that the new document to prove he had homeowners insurance was out of date and he was being charged for insurance coverage through the storage facility. My dad who knew the staff by name (since he had been a long time loyal customer) was told that the late fee would be waved and he promised to get the insurance declaration updated. My dad passed away unexpectedly a few days later. 3 days after his death (probably 2 weeks after he was informed of the fees due) my family was called and notified that the lock on the unit is scheduled to be cut today. My sister spoke with a representative at this location YESTERDAY and was not notified of this lock cutting plan. Is there no compassion in the world today? They are able to look up my dads account and see that he had paid for the unit and then still plan to cut his locks over $30 for insurance that he didn’t even need. And mind you…they knew he passed away 3 days prior but were still going to cut his lock. I’m shocked.
The rates are also much better at other storage units in town so don’t waste your time giving any of your money to this heartless company.
