Storage Sense - Spring

I have seen a few reviews and I felt the need to express my experience …storage sense has been nothing but pleasant. I made my reservation online to book my storage. Upon arrival I was greeted and was told all information I may
Need. My only concern would be to add a few lights outside to increase more well lit areas .There is a Hole ?️ in the back side of the gate that should be looked at however it’s does not cause a serious concern. Just like the homeless individual out front mentioned in a previous review .He is not a threat nor does he cause any harm/problems to anyone. I actually frequent the stores in the area & see him quite often & I , like many others I see whom have conversed with him you can tell he has a mental illness .For anyone who has hesitations regarding renting here I rent here currently and highly recommended you come visit or one of the other surrounding locations ?

Avoid this terrible location of Storage Sense.
This evening (Jan 28, 2025) I went to vacate the unit I was renting. There was NO lighting whatsoever at this facility at night in any of the public or indoor storage unit areas. It's a medium size facility and it's completely dark at night. Furthermore there is a big gaping hole in the chain link fence at the back of the facility big enough for a few people to crawl through and get into the facility. Very unsafe and unprotected and obviously a liability and safety issue.

Today I spoke to the 'manager' to confirm I was vacating my unit and she the manager could not/did not have my email address on file to send me a confirmation, even though I logged into their website and my email is right there! She said but unfortunately I cannot see it or have access to it. I had to repeat my email address 3 times to her. And she said she was unaware of the hole in the chain link fence and the absence of lighting at night at the facility. Like, you're the manager and you don't know any of these things? Ridiculous.

Unfortunately I will be closing my account/rental space here. Over the past several months whomever is responsible for managing the property has failed to address security issues at the facility.

In the past several months, there has been a grown man (apparently from a nearby apartment complex) spending all day, leisurely sitting, lounging and laying his entire body in front of the office and on the private property of the facility. Every time I drive by the facility the person is there. Today 11/7/2024 I went to check on my rented strorage unit at 4:30PM and the person was therre again, laying his entire body on the cement ledge in front of the office, and spreading his legs completely to the street! Looked like a homeless drunk(?) person who had passed out on the street. And the security gates both entry and exit were again, wide open. I stopped my car passed the security gates (no one checks to see if I actually have a rented storage space) and knocked on the office door to inquire about all of this. When I mentioned to the woman who was working there about this person splayed out spread eagle on their property, she said 'He's not bothering anyone.' She mentioned essentially that he has some kind of mental or autistic issues. She also mentioned the police have already been called and said that they, the police, can't do anything about it. Yes really.

Think about it:

1. Facility where the security gates are wide open.
2. No one or nothing is checking if you actually have access to a rented storage space.
3. Allowing homeless/unauthorized people to spend all day on your private property.

I will be cancelling my storage space unit, and I encourage others too. And yes, I have already contacted the corporate office about these issues.
