Storage World

I rented a 10x10 for about 6 months and recently received a letter stating everyone had to be out by Jan 2022. After building my own expensive wooden shelving system. Waste of time and money. Very bad business. This company could've given us a heads up as to what was coming. I now rent a 10x15 for way cheaper at Ridgewood Storage Facility. It's a new facility only another 7 mins on 422. Squeezing every last dollar from soon to be evicted tenants. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I called several weeks ago and spoke to someone name Josh. I was looking to possibly rent a storage unit. He said that he would look into it and that someone would call me back. I never received a call and ended up going elsewhere.

Not a bad place, but they are tearing the whole place down to build a new indoor storage facility. Everyone must remove their belongings from their storage lockers by the end of January. They will be closed for about a year.

I was very unhappy with my experience with Storage World. Gabrielle was very professional, but I was unhappy with Storage World the company. We had obtained a unit in mid September 2021. We were finally completely moved in by the end of October 2021. We then get a letter just before Thanksgiving telling us that the Storage World facility we were using at 211 N Wyomissing Reading PA was closing for an facility upgrade and that we needed to move our stuff out by the end of January 2022. I was in a climate controlled 10x10. It is a nightmare to have to find a new facility and move again right after having just moved in and an unneeded expense and complication, especially right around the holidays and for someone with health issues. We received no discounts, no rebates, and just a letter basically marketing how this was good business for Storage World and their future customers. It was a costly experience for my family, so I would advise you to consider renting someplace else, especially if you are looking for long term storage.
