I have been a loyal customer for the last 3 years and needed an additional storage unit. It was a holiday weekend and I wasn't sure if the additional unit would be able to fit my belongings, so I asked to rent another bigger unit as a buffer in case my stuff didn't fit in the smaller unit. I was flying in from out of town so I had a small window of time to do this moving project, and the office was going to be closed during the time I allotted due to the holidays. Hence why I wanted to get a bigger unit, and then return whichever unit I didn't need. Since the office was closed they wouldn't have lost any business by me renting a unit. I was able to fit my belongings in the smaller unit on the same day that I got the bigger unit, however, the office was closed by the time I was done moving everything. I never moved a thing into the bigger unit or put a lock on it. I let them know I didn't need the bigger unit and the manager wouldn't refund me the admin fee. Even though it was no skin off of anyone's back, and I had not used the unit at all, they were unwilling. So I double paid. I understand both sides here, and this is where discretion comes into play. Given that I've been a loyal customer for the past 3 years, never missed a payment, and I'm still currently renting two units, I feel it would be fair to refund me the admin fee for the unused unit given they still have my business (Since I'm renting two units). I'm frustrated that they wouldn't be understanding of the situation when I didn't take away any potential business of theres. The receptionist was very kind, so I have no frustration with her as I know she isn't the one who makes these decisions. But I'm unable to get ahold of the manager or person who has the authority to grant this.
We have been customers for the past three years and I have never dealt with a more unprofessional organization. They do everything they can to bill for insurance, despite having copies. The excuses are the same: we were just bought out and the new system doesn't recognize the old system. Oh, we sent an email to let you know we were going to start charging for insurance. Can you please send me a copy of the email? We don't have it. One excuse after another for pathetic customer service.
I would definitely not recommend them.
