Stryker Long Distance Moving Company

DO NOT USE this company. We contacted Statewide for our out of state move. Initially Cameron was very helpful and I thought all would go well. I was so wrong! After loading up all of our belongings the price of our move almost doubled!! We never received a bill of lading, which is where the customer signs and chooses their insurance coverage. This was never sent. Their forms of payments accepted were inaccurately communicated after multiple excuses. Our unloading date was June 12 and they were 4 hours late, we then did not receive all if our items until June 18! We had $1700 in damages, clearly from complete carelessness. Photos were taken of every item damaged and reported accurately through their documents. We were told we would receive 60 cents on the pound, which equates to $130. The weights of each item assessed were not even accurate, which we then sent screen shots of each item with their weights and have received NO response. As of today, Sept. 16, we still have not received this minimal amount to cover excessive damages. This was an awful experience and we are still trying to replace large damaged items in our home.

They called me the morning of the move. When I booked the appt I explain to them what all was being moved and where I was moving to was given a price of 99.00 hr and should take 2 to 3 hrs. That morning he changed the cost from 300.00 to 700.00 that it was a 6 to 7 hrs move. When I said that there was no way it take that long, he then cancelled and hung up on me. I would not use this company because the price doubled. Nothing but a rip off.

I’ve used Statewide multiple times and have had great experiences! The guys expected a move today of about 4 hours and it ended up being 8, but not for anything they did. The extra time was not foreseeable. They never complained, and were friendly, courteous, polite, funny, nice....everything you’d want them to be. I had Mike and Eric today and would very much ask them to be my movers again. They did a great job with a very heavy, hot move.
