Review:

The two movers assigned to us were professional and polite. The issue with Student Movers is not the movers, but the management. My partner and I had the displeasure of speaking with a hysterical, unprofessional woman who claimed to be a manager. Our issue was run of the mill: we wanted to pay with a different card than what the one used to book, because the job was taking longer than expected, and the cost was better hit on another account. They charged it anyway despite telling them otherwise. Keep in mind, these moving services are hourly, so one would assume that the charge would come at the end of service, not halfway through the job--unless, of course, there is a deposit in play, which in this case there was none--which means management decided to charge a randomized amount that overdrafted the card we specifically asked them not to use--well over 1,000 dollars. Okay--at this point we think: 'we'll just pay the difference owed on another card even though they charged us a random amount before the job was done.' However, trying to reason with 'Michelle' the receptionist?--the boss?--it's still unclear who this person was--was impossible. We only asked what the difference owed was, and we would pay it, despite knowing they overcharged us. This person would not divulge the amount still owed. Instead we received numerous threats that this woman was going to call the police on us, called us names, and repeatedly ridiculed the misspelling of my boyfriend's name, which she misspelled when we booked the move over the phone. After the move I complained on Yelp about what happened, including being charged for services I never got a receipt for, and she sent the movers back to our home to sign documents and demand we provide our IDs for them to photograph. The movers and this woman 'Michelle' got in a loud argument on speakerphone on the front porch of our residence at 9:00pm after we asked them to leave. I believe we were overcharged. I never got a detailed receipt. These people verbally abused us shamelessly.

Review:

I was charged double what I was quoted. When I questioned this I was told that the drive took twice as long each way as it actually did. Entirely unacceptable.

The two movers who provided the service were courteous and professional. However the individual who exchanged emails with after the fact when requesting an invoice and a breakdown of the exorbitant charges on my credit card was rude, unprofessional. Did not provide me with an invoice.

I would not recommend the service to anyone. I will be reporting this.

Review:

So WOW! I was just calling to get quotes. I do not have a typical move happening and I had the EXTREME pleasure of speaking with Michelle the Dispatcher! She was BEYOND Helpful. I am not in the moving industry and I did not even stop to think that the end of the month is the most busy time for Movers (it make sense)! Anyway base on my situation she gave me MANY Options. I may or not do business with Student Movers (Today), however I will in the future and I recommend that anyone considering a move try Student Movers. If I get this much service with just getting a quote, I would imagine I get this much service from the other Staff. So, Shawn if you see or speak with Michelle today give her a High Five from me and 5 GOLD STARS!!!

Review:

Late, did a terrible job with the move, charged over what was quoted by $300.... But came back later to fix the main issues (not price) for free.

I'm still upset.... They murdered my orchids ($200), left a pile of liquid soap in my garage that they accidentally spilled which I slipped on... I found the orchid upside down packed in a trash bag. And they SREAMED at me for asking for an ETA when they were over 6 hours late.... I know they tried to fix the situation, but I'm emotionally scarred by this. They even punctured my single edition painting...
