Sunshine Movers

I would not recommend these movers: they damaged a lot of my furniture, and were extremely slow (they were sitting around by the elevator scrolling on their phones and then blamed the distance to the elevator instead of taking responsibility). If my furniture hadn't been so damaged or destroyed, I wouldn't have minded the high cost/slow move as much.

I was so forturnet to have found them.

Website says they would show up with boxes and help pack. They refused to help and had no boxes with them. So we had to scramble and pack while they loaded up what we had already boxed up. It was extremely stressful and I would’ve fired them if we didn’t have a time crunch on moving.

They showed up with a uhaul rental truck which surprised me. They do not appear to be a dedicated moving company.

They were unable to load up everything we had needed them to, including some very heavy & bulky items, which we needed professional help to move. We had to call them the next day and complain to get them to come back and finish the job.

They also took a whole bunch of our tie downs and moving blankets, which we also had to call about and complain about to get back.

Also the final cost of the move ended up being twice what they quoted me.

They also disappeared for a long time with the trucks full of our stuff between leaving our old home and our new one. It’s literally a 15 minute drive. They were gone for two hours.

All our stuff got moved, nothing was broken, but it was extremely stressful. In retrospect, I would’ve happily paid twice as much to hire a moving crew who actually showed up and did what they advertised and helped us pack and moved everything without us needing to call the next day to get them to finish the job.

They may be fine for smaller moves if you already have everything packed and ready to go.

Edit: in response to the reply about covid limiting services. That’s a bunch of bull.

Dean and his team were incredible! They moved our 1 bedroom apt into our new place in less than 2 hours. They all were very nice and careful - nothing broke or was scratched during the move. Very accommodating. They did an incredible job and made the move very easy.

These guys were so amazing!!! I had another company back out last minute and they came within an hour of me contacting them. They did the move so efficiently and took less time than I expected, especially at the great pricing they gave me. No surprise fees or anything, just straight forward and amazing. They were a lifesaver and I would use them again any time!
