Review:

Our abroad move with Armstrong was an absolute disaster! I never leave reviews but this was a must. I would NOT recommend this company. We were told we would have at least 6 packers & movers and we needed up with 2. Our calls & requests for more help went unacknowledged & unanswered!!

My husband & I ended up having to get involved in the packing and moving out. We did most of our own move!

Review:

Absolutely terrible company! Seek another solution!

As a military member, Armstrong relocation service in San Antonio was hired to facilitate my move to Louisiana.

Issac, the driver they dispatched arrived with 2 other people to pack and load 15,000 lbs of HHG
(3300 sqft home, 3 car garage)
Prior to arriving to begin the process, they estimated the job would be done in 24-48 hours.

I immediately began to question things after the driver informed me that he would pack and load my things. As someone that has seen this process for over two decades, it has always been two separate crews!

The standard is One team packs and wraps everything, while the driver loads and transports all goods on another day.

For my particular situation, the driver elected to pack, load and execute the entire evolution himself with two other people. I’m assuming this was an attempt to keep more money in his pocket.

During the process of them packing/loading etc they would show up 0900-1030 and work until 1800 or so. They would also disengage the truck leave the trailer and take 2 hour lunch breaks.

During the process of loading and packing, they didn’t attempt to protect any of my flooring, doors, or door sill with the usual mats and ramps. While moving my washer/dryer, they broke the water valve for my washer and soaked my floor.

They also clogged my toilet, and closed the door to hide it. I was kind enough to allow them to use my bathroom, instead of sending them to the nearest gas station. I had to force them to clean up after themselves.

Because I had tenants moving in within 48 hours of moving out, I had to hire a plumber on a Saturday. I only made the call after the claims director at Armstrong San Antonio assured me I would be reimbursed!

I have not received a check, phone call or email to date;
-The damage took place on April 19th.
-April 20th Jennie Reese acknowledged receipt of my invoice.
-April 22nd it was under review
-May 1st the review was completed and I was told my check was in the mail, and expect to receive it in 2 weeks.

As I’m writing this, I have received my items which are damaged because they were not properly wrapped and packaged! My very expensive zero turn mower no longer works, after I drove it onto the truck myself. As anyone reading this can probably guess, I am also missing several boxes.

-Over 60% of my boxes were labeled “Random items” so the movers had no idea where to place them and nor did I. Additionally, they were not tagged with an inventory number, or labeled properly.

This is an absolute nightmare, and the worse move of my career spanning 2 decades! If you are assigned this company, politely refuse and request someone else.

I’m sure someone will reply stating that they want to help. I must remind you that I have called the corporate office and anyone that will pick up the phone in the San Antonio office! This includes the Military liaison. I have also left messages with several members of the company

I had a rush install situation for one of our biggest customers. Rainah Van Hees At Armstrong was able to go above and beyond for me, with great customer service And allowing me to pick up My package on a very short notice. She excelled at every point of this.

Review:

We had three of the Armstrong crew, Ty, Adam and Gabriel, packing our household goods in preparation for a move across country. They were professional, friendly and very careful in their handling of our possessions. They worked at a pace I found amazing, yet had time to answer any questions we had. I would recommend this crew and Armstrong, without reservation, to anyone needing to relocate.
