THE Moving Company

Based on my recent experience with The Moving Company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. At the beginning, I spoke with Andrew and he quoted me $194.00 for the service charge & $194 per hour for the service. He did told me that they wanted a card to hold on file, just to secure the move. Never once was it mentioned that there would be a $1,000.00 deposit.

Then, their movers did not show up until about 10:15am. They walked in with cold drinks from QuickTrip. My husband and I had made the move as easy as possible for them and handled almost all the large items but there were some items that we couldn't move.

The movers did not show any sense of urgency. It took them about 1.5 hours to wrap our couch, and headboard while also taking apart the bed.

While in the middle of the move, he then calls to tell me that my card was declined. When I asked why, he informed me 'oh, the $1,000 deposit.' At this point, I mentioned that this was never mentioned and why are you just now trying to run my card when your team is already here.

He proceeded to insists that I was a liar and didn't listen to him. Which I work with budgets everyday, I do remember numbers and if a $1,000 deposit would be pulled. Could I have reacted better? Yes. But when you insist that I am a liar, that was the last straw.

I told his team to stop working - all they moved was a couch, and two pieces of headboard. CHARGED ME $600.00!!! How did $194.00 service charge, plus $194.00 per hour when you were only here for 1.5 hours, add up?

It was the dishonesty and the lack of communication that set me over the edge. Not to mention, they kept calling me... begging to let them finish the job. Just a true lack of professionalism.

I would not trust the google reviews, stick to Yelp
