BEWARE THIS COMPANY! They don't negotiate very fairly during claims. They're very liberal with damage notes during pickup and interpret them in their favor as much as possible after delivery. For example, they noted that our couch had cat scratches at pickup. Then, when it showed up with the armrest ripped off, somehow they weren't liable because we shipped a pre-damaged item. The companies the contract with don't care about courtesy or customer experience. They rushed us during pickup and dropoff. A lot of our stuff was improperly reassembled and they pressured us to not file claims. If you can avoid using these people, do it!
This company is responsible for shipping our 7’4” semi concert piano in our recent move. I provided all info about this piano with model, weight and dimensions. I emphasized an 8’ long piano board is a must in this transportation several times from day one in writing and verbally. This is fatally important for shipping this 900 lb music instrument safely. Finally, their movers came in with a 6 ft piano board. If this one was used, the piano would be mostlikely damaged during the shipment. This is not acceptable at all. The move was cancelled on the moving day. This company in the whole process has shown their unprofessional, inadequate and careless attitude. My recommendation to everyone is to not use their service if you don’t want to screw up your move
If I could give this company zero stars, I would. Our experience with TMM on behalf of Burhham World Forwarders, Inc contracted by the U.S. military to handle our family’s relocation, was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The level of incompetence, carelessness, and outright dishonesty displayed was beyond anything I’ve ever encountered.
First, their team arrived and began loading our belongings into crates without clearing the inventory with us, completely bypassing standard protocol. We weren’t even given a chance to verify what was being packed before they hauled everything away. This should have been the first red flag.
When our belongings finally arrived, we discovered *dozens of items missing, including irreplaceable sentimental belongings and expensive electronics. Despite filing detailed claims supported by photos and receipts, TMM denied every single one of them, citing vague and baseless reasons like 'insufficient proof of ownership.' They conveniently ignored the fact that the inventory process had been botched—by their team!
Their customer service was equally appalling. Every attempt to contact them was met with dismissive responses, endless runarounds, and outright hostility. It’s as if they’re trained to stonewall frustrated families instead of addressing legitimate concerns.
This company’s negligence caused my family immense stress and financial loss. The idea that they’re entrusted with military families’ moves is beyond comprehension. If you have the misfortune of being assigned this company, *document every step of the process, demand oversight during packing, and prepare for a battle to get any resolution*—but honestly, I’d advise avoiding them entirely if at all possible.
The U.S. military and its contractors need to seriously reevaluate their partnerships if this is the standard of service being provided. TMM and Burnham World Forwarders are a disgrace, and their lack of accountability is appalling. Protect yourself and your belongings, because they certainly won’t.
Found out they are selling Subway at the concession stand! Very excited great experience
