TNT Moving Services Customer Reviews

Review:

I've used TNT moving for 5 moves over 3 years, and was previously thrilled with their service and employees. This last move has changed that, and I have to warn potential customers to stay away.
I set up my move with Trent about a month ahead of the date. I was told it should take about 4 hours to load a 3 bedroom house with his 3 man crew, in the 26 foot truck I had rented. That truck is estimated for a 4-5 bedroom house.
It took them 7. His crew was vaping in the truck while loading my furniture. I had most of the house already packed and in the garage, for easy loading. As we went along, I had to remind them to get items like a fridge, chest freezer, and yard tools. When we finally neared the end of the truck, I was told there wouldn't be room for half of my desk, my TV, a collapsed dog crate, or a patio table, thanks tothe way the truck was loaded.
I had them remove a grill, which more belongs to my former neighbor, and miraculously, things found space!
Upon arriving at my destination storage unit, I was treated to even more idiocy. Boxes marked as glass were on the bottom of heavy stacks. Plastic totes had been stored on their sides, or upside down, and some had completely collapsed due to being shoved under heavier items. My desk is broken, as a lawnmower was shoved on top of it. The drawers for my storage bed have all had their pulls sheared off, and are scratched up... because it would seem the pile of ten extra moving blankets weren't worth using.
Trent has ignored 2 emails and 3 voicemails, as he refuses to take my calls about my damaged items, or his crew's horrible service.
Not that he had any problem cashing the check, which I should have stopped payment on.

If you are thinking about moving please take my advise. From experience they were way under staff. Several things were broken and several items did not make it to my house. The only thing that we were told was that we did receive everything and the only thing he would replace was a rocking chair that was damaged. Three months later we were told that they had a rocking chair but he did not know how to get it to us. We felt that he called us a liar and was very rude.

This company moved my mom and dad from Waco Tx to Houston Tx. They did an excellent job. Very professional and courteous movers. I recommend them if you have anything to move.

Review:

I would not recommend this company to anyone who has antique furniture. I moved six houses down the street. The owner and six men showed up the morning of the move. After telling the men what to do, I never saw the owner again until he came to my house to look at the damages done to my furniture.

The men were nice and friendly but seemed more interested in joking around than moving my belongings.

These are the damaged items that I have found so far.
**The top decorative pieces of a grandfather's clock, that has been in my family for almost 300 years, were broken off. A piece of trim was broked off and put inside of the base of the clock. There are several new scratches all over the clock. One of the hands of the face of the clock was off.
**Two library tables were scratched
**A custom-made wooden dog ramp was scratched in many places.
**The black door on my front loading washing machine had a few places that were white.
**A wheel was broken off of an office chair.
**A wooden wheel was broken off of a library table,

I called the owner and asked him to come over and look at the damages. He did.

When I showed him that some of decorative pieces had been broken off of the grandfather's clock, he informed me that everything is shrink wrapped and then wrapped in moving pads. 'Sometimes with the older furniture things will get broken' was his reply. If the piece was shrink wrapped, they should have seen the pieces that had broken off when they unwrapped it. If they had left them for me, I could try to repair the damage. He did re-attach a piece of trim that I found in the bottom of the clock. If it was placed into the bottom of the clock, the men had to know that it had come off. Why not say something to me about it instead of hiding it. 'Hmmm' was the response I got when I showed him all of the new scratches on the clock.

When I showed the owner the scratches on the dog ramp and the two library tables, I was told what product I could buy in order to cover them up.

He said he would try to find a wooden wheel for me for the library table. I've yet to hear back from him on that.

He told me what to use on the washer door to remove the paint that had gotten on it. I had what he told me to use. I gave it and a rag to him so he could remove the marks. He got them off! I want to know how the washing maching door got white paint on it. They had to go back for the washer and dryer after everything else was unloaded from the truck. Dirty pads?

I had already discarded the office chair by the time he was here so I did not mention it to him.

I wasn't expecting a refund of any kind. I did expect him to show just a little concern for my belongings and the damage that had occurred. He did not. It would have been nice if he had provided me with the product he suggested I use to cover all of the scratches. It was less than $15 dollars when I ordered it.

I did expect an apology. I did not receive one.

I would never have left this review if the owner had shown any compassion or remorse at all. Unfortunately, he did not.
