I chose them because of the reviews. I have had better experiences with craigslist uninsured movers. In total I lost over $2000 worth of items that I know of. Complete shelf missing on top of the only bag of clothing with any value because I need all my pants tailored.
100% it was the crew I got, very unprofessional.
First red flag was 8 minutes in they cleared out the living room boxes cause I did alot of work to make it easy for them. In spanish the boss said that was only 8 min, we need to slow down. So they kept taking breaks, literally all standing by the truck talking and doing nothing. I counted a total over 40 min between loading and unloading.
At the halfway mark they stopped loading, took the truck WITH ALL MY STUFF to lunch. They never came back to load the rest. I had to move over a rooms worth of stuff. He was also mad I offered some items for them to keep but my girlfriend asked for the dresser so he started throwing attitude. The quote lady told me it was 100% to have him move items to the house next door as I was donating some furniture. They tried to tell me it was not in their scope of work. I should have made them move it to the new house instead but I guess they realized its less work to just move it 15 feet from my front door and set it on their lawn.
I wish I had the time energy and resources to fight this because its absolutely disgusting. I tipped each person $50 on top. I'm blessed to have good income otherwise this would be pretty devastating. They also kept trying to tell me some pieces of furniture would not fit. I moved from and into the same apartment I lived in before so of course I had to literally lift and show them how to get some furniture in after they damaged it.

Future customers make sure to index and count your boxes and supervise the crew. Make sure to go over what is and not is responsible for the workers. Make sure to ask what kind of break system they are on. Make sure to ask who is responsible to furniture damage and wall damage. I would also do a walkthrough video of the furniture so that there is no dispute for damage. Had I had done some of these I may have been able to make a case for myself.

I'm not going to sit here and say they are a terrible company because the reviews clearly show great experiences. Im just appalled to have been robbed in plain sight. It 100% is my fault for not having every box and item documented so I could report the theft as it is a felonious amount lost. I will never offer movers any items as well, its safer to just recycle or dump. I think they felt too inviting as I was offering alot of stuff I was throwing away. I knew something was off, I did check the truck to make sure it was empty, but they did drive it away for over 40 minutes with my stuff fully loaded to lunch which was very suspicious.

Update:
After they saw the review they tried to offer compensation. I did not ask for anything. When they offered it they told me straight up they could file an insurance claim but would be investigated and as I noted I dont have the resources to document and prove. Then they dangle $300 in front of me to remove my review, nah I'm not that cheap. Id rather take the loss and save other hard working people from being robbed.

This team is all 5 stars. They take care of your furniture, move and assemble, place it in a room, place of your choice. I had heard good reviews but they surpassed my expectations

We love using Tony's moving! Best prices and service out there. We have used them several times for ourselves and recommended them to family as well. And everyone was happy. They guys are all proper and nice and pack the furniture securely. We've never had a broken piece. Simply EXCELLENT! They give quick and reasonable estimates, a flat rate fee, no surprises! Other companies will come and spend an hour at your house for an estimate and get back to you with outrageous prices!
