Trailer Rental at U-Haul

Truck cabin was leaking halfway through trip during rainstorm. Back right reverse light was not working. Truck was banged up from a previous incident.

I made the reservation Friday evening for Sunday morning and when I arrived Sunday morning to get my rental at 8:30 am, it was not ready so I had to wait for them to open so I could get help from an employee. Fortunately, Caleb, who helped us was super helpful and understanding of our frustrations and was able to assist us. I would say that in the future, if someone has a self-service reservation set up for a certain time, it should be the priority of the location to ensure that it is all set up for pick up when the customer arrives. And when I tried to call customer service to assist us because the facility had not opened yet, they were absolutely no help whatsoever. We made the reservation at a certain time, so we can get to our destination at a planned time and those plans were ruined because of the poor preparation of the facility with our rental. Our schedule pick up was 8:30 and we didn’t end up leaving the facility until one hour later because of the issues we had. Again, I am extremely grateful for Caleb who helped us but disappointed with the facility who failed to do their job and get the truck ready for pick up and annoyed with customer service who I was on hold for 45 minutes and ended up being unable to provide any assistance to me.
