Review:

The lady who was setting up my contract was very rude and also has a problem with the abuse of her authority as she claimed she was the general manager of the store. I made a reservation expecting my equipment to be ready for me when I made it there for my pick up time. There was a line of 2-3 people ahead of me at the time I arrived and only 1 person helping customers inside. I saw that there was another associate outside detailing other vehicles, I simply asked if she was able to assist that one person inside that was by herself Due to me being on a tight schedule in a rush to catch a train. That associate came inside and helped the next person in line who was in front of me. Eventually, when it was my turn, I explained to the associate helping me that I was in a hurry to get my contract, started and be able to go on my way. this simple contract what usually takes about less than five minutes to set up, ends up, turning into about 45 minutes for me to be on my way. This lady decides to have side conversations with a different customer while writing my contract about nonsense That had nothing to do with anything with U-Haul. I nicely remind The manager that I was in a rush to get my contract, started and be on my way. Now I did not raise my voice nor curse at this lady, and she decides to threaten me and say that she could decline my services of what I needed that day because she is the general manager of the store. She then finishes my agreement contract & decides to be spiteful and hold me there even longer By making me wait and taking the next customer in line that had a online order which wasted an additional five minutes before going to attach the trailer to the truck that I had set up my rental agreement for. She then goes outside to the truck and decides to lift the hood before even attaching the trailer hitch to the car and Started saying that a fuse needed to be replaced on the truck for the trailer hitch when it wasn’t even plugged in yet. Now you can understand the spitefulness of what this person is making me go through all because I simply said that I was in a rush about my business.I am an African-American but this associate also started speaking Spanish To someone else Saying very nasty racist things about me as if I didn’t understand it In Spanish. This is very unacceptable behavior coming from not only U-Haul, but from someone claiming to be the general manager of the store. I think U-Haul needs to reevaluate who they are moving up in positions to be managers. I am disgusted with how I was treated with that visit and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what I experienced. I wouldn’t recommend this location anymore with that associate still being the general manager of that location to anyone.
