Highly recommend! The Trek Movers team was fast, efficient, respectful, polite, and they did a great job navigating our furniture down/up stairways and narrow hallways. A team of 3 people got us moved in faster than the expected time and ended up saving us money even with a really good tip!
The team never doddle nor did I feel like I needed to supervise them; I was around for when they had questions. Otherwise I was able to stand aside and watch them do their magic. No furniture or walls were damaged in the process and we have very narrow hallways and many tight corners at both the old a new addresses.
So impressive to see how diligently and intelligently they operate. Would happily work with them again.
I was impressed with the diligence and sincerity of both of the movers. My respect and best wishes to them.
This is our second time moving with Trek Movers. The move was quick and well-organized, and the movers were professional, handling our belongings with care.
DO NOT USE TREK MOVERS!
I was scammed. I was originally quoted by Trek 3 hours at $149/hr for my move. My apartment was all packed up in boxes, save for the large furniture, and ready to go when the movers arrived. They were set to come at 9am and move me two miles into a storage unit. I scheduled cleaners to come at 2pm. When a couple of hours had passed and they were still loading the truck, I asked if we were still on track to be done on time. I was then told by the movers that it would be closer to 6 hours. I was surprised, but figured I had a large one bedroom and agreed. I moved back my cleaners. All-in-all the move took 9 HOURS FOR A 700 sq APARTMENT AND I WAS CHARGED $1500. $1500 to move 2 miles!! When I called to complain, they told me I had too much stuff. I had a normal amount of stuff that fit perfectly in my large one bedroom apartment. These people are a total rip off!! Save yourself!!
I will add the disclaimer that it heavily depends on who you get. My boyfriend used this company a few weeks prior to me and had a much different experience, which was mostly positive.
I hired 3 movers. Of the 3, one worked the hardest. One of the others, who was the lead was good, but talked a tremendous amount and would practically stop all packing or go very slow when he was talking. The other spoke no English at all and seemed to not do anything unless he was instructed by the others. The language barrier was mostly an issue for me only because I would tell him where to leave something and he would nod yes, but then I saw it in other rooms or in the wrong direction, which then made me have to ask the others to move it, which of course elongated the process. What irked me the most was when it was time for lunch, the lead very much implied that I should get them all lunch, which was uncomfortable. When I did offer some options, they were shot down and they ultimately grabbed lunch on their own. The distance from the two locations was 20 mins, but they were gone for over two hours. Once it was time to pay, the lead quickly said that their lunch was 45 mins, and when I told him that was not the case, he disagreed and just changed it to 1 hour, which I also did not agree with, but it was a long day and I wanted to get it over with.
The packing and moving itself was okay, but there were some carelessness and frustration. Again, my boyfriend did not have this same experience, so it really depends. Overall, I would not take my chances and use this company again.
