As a Veteran I am sad to say this is not the moving company you want to do business with. They showed no care in packing and moving my family. I have been trying to call them for weeks and they never answer there phones now. They are the prime example of Poor Quality, Poor Value, Not Professional, and Not responsive. My honest recommendation is go with United or the like for less money. Please stay away from this company in moving you! They do not have Honor, Courage, or Commitment!
They have filed for Bankruptcy while currently owing over $3000 in repairs performed on their behalf. Do NOT use this company!!!
This company has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and cannot reimburse my damage claim for a nearly 200 year old chest that they destroyed. In addition to being 6 hours late to a move, and having to finish that move the following day ( which was a nightmare because my reserved parking had expired). It ended up costing double what I was quoted and they destroyed my most precious piece of furniture. This is not the same company it was before 2020. STEER CLEAR.
stay away from this, what a rip off, they were about to charge me more than $900 for a simple 10 miles delivery for one item, gladly i found better for $200 only, not surprised of all the negative reviews
I wanted to love this company so badly, and went out of my way to book with them to support our veterans, but I really wish I had listened to some of the other reviews.
I booked my movers for Monday December 19th 2022 at 1pm with Charlie, who was very friendly. When I first reserved and paid the $400 deposit, I was told I would receive a confirmation call 4 days before my move. That called never came. I called them on Saturday Dec. 18th and went to voicemail. A few hours later Charlie calls me back to confirm the movers.
On Monday Dec 19th, 1pm comes and goes and no one comes or calls. Finally at about 3:30pm I get in contact with Gavin, who informs me that earlier that day, several trucks broke down and they were still doing the morning moves. I would not be able to expect anyone until 6pm at the EARLIEST. I asked why no one bothered to call earlier to inform me of this massive delay, it would have possibly allowed me to find an alternate solution. There was no answer to that question. The second issue is that the freight elevators can only be reserved for a limited amount of time, given the delays, I lost the reservation times and was unable to move into my new apartment. So I had to move on Tuesday, but since I had to be out of the old place, I slept on the floor of my new apartment with no furniture.
I sent an email about this and informed the team that I needed to be the first move of the day and that my movers must be ready at 9am sharp so we do not lose the elevator reservations again. I received a reply confirming a 9am arrival. They arrived at 9:30am on Tuesday.
The movers themselves were quick (we were totally done by 11:30am) and friendly, so I tipped them well. But the management of this place was terrible. At the end, they tried to charge me an additional $207 for the move, and I had to remind them of their 'integrity' policy which clearly states that all customers will receive a $100 credit if the movers are more than 1 hour late of the moving time. Given that they were an ENTIRE DAY late, it should have been higher. Not to mention that I also spent $200 on packing supplies with them, and Charlie told me on the phone that anything that I don't use will be credited to my account. I returned nearly half the boxes and a roll of unused tape that was never credited to me.
Overall, I'm disappointed by the lack of accountability and communication I witnessed. I moved a 1 bedroom apartment from Arlington to Falls Church, less than 20 minutes on the road, the actual move took 2 hours door to door, and I paid about $700 all in, for a move that didn't even take place when it was scheduled for.
I only give 2 stars for the actual movers who were kind and efficient, but I would not use or recommend them again.
