The Two Men and a Truck team is excellent. I have used them for several moves and the team I worked with most recently was the best yet—they were incredibly professional. Big thanks to Kenny and his colleague for their help with getting my belongings to NY safely!

Review:

This was my first time moving, so no quite sure how the pricing ranks in a relative sense. However, I can say that I had a positive experience from start to finish. I had no trouble filling out the questionnaire online, and was contacted almost immediately by a representative to finish the process. They were so helpful in providing information and answering my clarifying questions.

Fast forward to move-in day - the movers were prompt, respectful, and personable. They made me so comfortable with the process, and treated my belongings (and apartment) with the utmost respect and care. Even more, they were fast!

They got my belongings into my new apartment without a single scratch. After generously offering to re-assemble some Ikea furniture for me, one of the movers gifted me a tool I needed to re-assemble it that I had lost while packing.

I cannot recommend Two Men and a Truck highly enough, and would definitely use them again if I hadn't moved away from the area!

Review:

Sadly from start to finish, I was disappointed with my experience with Two Men and a Truck. My move was scheduled for 1:30 pm, and the movers were a no show. I called several times to try to get an update, and I was met with customer service employees that were not located in New Haven and had no answers for me in regards to when the movers would arrive. Finally at 7 pm, a mover called me and asked if he could come at that moment. Mind you, my move was estimated to take 4 - 6 hours. I was already incredibly disappointed with the lack of communication throughout the day, adding additional stress to my already stress-filled move. I had no desire to be moving until 1 AM, so I requested to be rescheduled the next day, which they thankfully complied to. However, when I spoke to the manager about this situation, the only thing he could offer me was an apology and assurance that the movers would be quick and efficient with my move. Frankly, they were the opposite of that. My move started with one of the workers taking a 10 minute personal phone call and being dismissive to questions I asked, which is very frustrating considering I am charged on time. He then proceeded to take multiple personal phone calls throughout my move. The move took over the estimated time, despite the manager telling me it would likely take less than the estimated time. Not to mention, me and a friend helped with several of the boxes and unwrapping of the furniture, which wasn't ideal because I am currently healing from a fractured ankle (my ankle was extremely swollen the following day). The movers were had poor commutation and did not tell me when the truck was fully unloaded nor did they offer me the opportunity to inspect the truck to ensure all of my items were removed. I felt bad, because the workers looked visibly exhausted and moving slow, and it made me wish the company sent employees that could handle a long move with stairs, as I told them what my move entailed. The next day, an employee called me to hear about my experience. I explained everything to her, and she assured me a manager would reach out because she knew my experience was unsatisfactory. I waited to write this google review, but it has now been almost two weeks and I have heard nothing. After taking two days off of work and spending much more than I expected (although the company prides itself on having no surprises on moving day), I can wholeheartedly say I would not recommend this company if you are moving with a strict window of time and a budget.

Review:

If I could give no stars, I would. I have been calling and emailing only to get the 'okey doke' from Michelle for days. My roommate asked for a quote and received a quote from someone over text message for moving a piano (we have the screenshots to prove it) After not hearing from them for a week, I called myself and they claimed that there was no record of them quoting my roommate and that there was an extra 100 charged for pianos. After I asked Michelle to point out where that up-charge for pianos is located on their website she says, 'I don't know but that's what we're trained to tell people'. I foolishly continued with her and sent her a photo of the piano at her request via email. She responded that she will get back to me once management says yes.

Days went by and no response. I called back and she again promised without fail that I would hear back form her at the end of that day. I asked her what should I do if i do not hear back from her and she assured me I would hear back by day's end. Of course I did not hear back and I had to call them again. AJ answered the phone and then told me he could get a hold of anyone and suggested that I wait for them to call me back. At that moment I ended the services because I have been given the runaround.

I think their customer service is appalling and I think that they rely on the fact that New Haven is small therefore it seems they think they are the best and only option.

Would I recommend their services? Hell no!
