Two Men and a Truck Moving

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Extremely unprofessional. I will never be hiring them again. I understand that when you hire movers you’re given a “time window” of how long it’s going to take, but I feel like these movers took advantage and were taking their sweet time bringing stuff out of my apartment. They were not efficient in any way. I didn’t have a lot of things. From: getting lost and going around in circles in my old and new place that my dad had to chase them down to stop driving around. Getting out of the car chatting.

One of the movers “got injured” and stopped working for like 15 minutes. The other mover was like “I think he’s just tired” then LIED to my face and said “he only stepped out for 5 minutes” no he did not. Also, why do you have movers working for you who are clearly out of shape? The guy who got “injured” was worn out after going up my stairs twice he could barely breath. They all looked like they were college kids. I could have done a faster job myself I might as well would have not hired movers. Or done more research.

They also were not able to bring down my bed frame and were encouraging me to junk it and they won’t charge me for it. I understand it was old and was already breaking apart, but isn’t your job to move stuff regardless of condition ? Yall suck.

All that to say they STILL charged me the rate for 3 movers with one of them barely lifting a finger. Oh also, one of them asked my roommate to help him bring down a cat tree because of his “allergies”. I clearly mentioned I had a cat tree beforehand so why would you put someone on duty that has a pet allergy. You’ve been warned. Do not hire them.

Last word: Dear owner, make sure that you tell your movers when moving furniture if they are sweaty, carry a towel with you and clean yourself. All my furniture was WET because your movers were dripping in sweat and were spilling it all over my furniture.

In addition to being extremely expensive, they damaged two pieces of furniture (blaming it on the quality of the furniture rather than just taking responsibility) and then ignored my emails and calls for weeks before processing the reimbursement. Seems like this is a common occurrence looking at the other reviews. There’s plenty of better moving companies in Boston, definitely wouldn’t use them again.

We moved 2 years ago with another company and it was not good; it took all day(9-6) for a 2 bedroom and it was so expensive. We decided to try Two Men and a Truck and we were so pleased. They came on time and the same 2 bedroom apt took 5 hours to pack, wrap, move and unpack...even with extra junk removal to help us out. It was half the price of other company and the two guys were soooo fast. And they were considerate of my cat, kept asking if he was okay. Plus the supervisor came by to make sure they were doing well and he even helped. I would definitely recommend. They made my moving process so much enjoyable. Thank you.

If I could leave zero stars I would. They moved me in late may/early June from one apartment to another. They damaged 8 out of 12 pieces of furniture they moved and it took them almost a month to get back to me about damages and options despite multiple emails and nearly a dozen calls. I had told the movers repeatedly that I could take my dresser apart in 3 minutes if they couldn’t lift it and they told me it would damage heir pride. I watched them repeatedly drop it on the stairs, resulting in multiple splits and cracks that damaged the structural integrity of my dresser. They initially offered me $75 for a $1400 bookcase set that had chunks taken out of it and a whole shelf broken off because IKEA has something cheaper. They took my dresser to be repaired (twice) and have not responded to emails or calls about when it will be returned. It’s been almost a month and a half and I’m still waiting.

I have used Two Men and A Truck many times and this particular one in Boston was definitely the worst. They quoted me $360 for a one hour move and charged me nearly $700!! All they had to do was load the truck, everything was ready to go. It took less than an hour. But they said they came from over an hour away and ran into construction which delayed their arrival (which was not true).... Do not recommend this service. Do not trust their quotes.
