Two Men and a Truck Moving

Please beware when scheduling Two Men and a Truck Moving, located in Salisbury MD. I called two times to alert them that I had two large items and called the day before the move to confirm all items to be moved. I told the office my settlement was scheduled for 2:30 pm on Friday. They said no problem the estimate was 3.5-5 hours total. The truck arrived after 9 AM and by 11:20 only had a few items loaded. We questioned the delay and were told that they were 'waiting for additional supplies,' which delayed my ability to let them in the new house before I had to be at settlement. The movers were on their phones and standing at the truck taking a very long time to decide what to load next. At one point, the mover told me that they do not move TVs, to which I replied that they were included in my estimate. The entire move was a disaster. it was the first day for one of the movers and he REALLY struggled, at my expense. Several times the items had to be placed down so a different mover could swap. This man was carrying sofa cushions for most of the move. I tipped and bought dinner for the movers. At the end, the mover told me the balance was $2510. I asked him to bill my credit card on file. He called 'the owner' and I was billed $3090. I called the office and was told that was 'the owner and that I agreed to the charges.' I was also told to 'enjoy my new home and the rest of my day.' This is bad business! They called me to see what my experience was and now sent this 2nd email to inquire about the experience. My advice to all is do not 'authorize them to bill your card,' they bait and switch at your expense. Beware, the estimate seems fair but you will be sorry!!

They were on time, friendly and professional. If I had known this would be so easy, I would not have procrastinated so long! Will be calling them again for sure!

Expensive, but worth it.

Tish (Leticia) was extraordinary. I called in with a complicated request involving both moving and trash removal at a total of 5 different addresses, and combining the services at 2. All on the same day. They use different trucks for each, which made this no easy feat, but she was able to get me all set up. The best part? The estimate she had provided held up to be accurate, despite not seeing a single thing in person or having any pictures. She set the expectation that the price could adjust, but she hit it spot on.

As with any plan, nothing plays out 100% to expectation. But despite a little getting turned around on the day of, everything went relatively smoothly. Both the movers and the junk removal team were great, tackling multiple flights of stairs at each stop in the heat of August. The movers beat the junk removal team to one stop where the junk removal was planned to go first, but they gave no grief about moving a heavy metal futon down a flight of stairs to make room for the items they were moving in. Each team was very quick as well.

Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Two Men and a Truck for both moving and junk removal. The peace of mind of having them handle both (and knowing I wouldn't have to move all the heavy furniture up and down multiple flights of stairs) was completely worth it. As someone who has moved way too frequently in the past - this was by far the easiest and most stress move free so far.

This moving company was amazing! We did a last minute reservation with only 3 days notice and they were awesome to work with and so accommodating! The office team was very helpful and our movers were awesome! We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a move! We will spread the word!

During our move the movers broke my desk and didn’t tell me. The normal process is they are supposed to file a damage report when they break something. I understand moving is a high risk job and accidents happen. Instead of taking responsibility the mover tried to set up the desk as if it wasn’t broken. The next day when I went to set up my computer equipment, I quickly realized the desk was broken.

That unfortunately wasn’t even the worst part. The next day I called the office and the woman, Leticia Gooden, picked up the phone and was incredibly unprofessional. When I explained the situation she did not apologize once but blamed me for the worker not filing a damage report when it happened and said the process takes 4 days to figure out if I’m entitled to a refund or not.

I sent in the videos and pictures within 8 hours of reporting and they did not get back to me till 5 days. On the 4th day I was emailed by them to take a survey where I said I was not satisfied with the customer service from Leticia and she called me 10 minutes after I submitted the survey to complain to me that she did not appreciate my review. Totally inappropriate!

It’s over a week now and I had to follow up several times and still have not received compensation for my desk but they said I’d receive about 40% of what the desk is worth.

Horrible experience. Moving is stressful enough and this company has made my experience more stressful. Will never use again and I suggest others look for help elsewhere when hiring movers
