This company was very accommodating, used time efficiently, and didn't upcharge unnecessarily. They were well equipped, polite, professional, and reasonably priced. I will consider them again for a future move and would recommend them to a friend looking for movers.
Edit: It's been almost a year since my move. I STILL frequently think about this horrible experience. I wanted to update this review to remind the world that this company is still not worth giving business to.
Original Review: Still waiting for my move issues to be discussed and resolved. Reasonable initial response to my concerns, but it seems like they are hoping the problem will just disappear if they don't follow up as promised.
Had decided to use TM&aT from hearing positive reviews online and from friends having used their services. The amount of damaged items during my move made the move completely not worth it. Was all my stuff moved from point A to B? Sure. But what's the point if it's damaged. Why am I paying for a service to move my furniture with reasonable care if reasonable care is not given.
I was sent 1 mover and an office manager for my move. At the time of signing paperwork, I was not fully aware of the inability of the office manager to serve as a mover. Not fully aware of his lack of qualification to be moving any of my furniture, he convinced me to not take the paid insurance option and then proceeded to be responsible for essentially all of the damage done to our furniture. Throughout the move he commented on how he was not meant to be the one helping us move and that this would be his last move. Further, he was determined to do things as quickly as possible, opting not to wrap/protect furniture in the truck or disassemble furniture that should have been disassembled for transport.
While the office staff has been fairly professional in helping reserve the move and in dealing with the aftermath, The response has been slow and I am still waiting to discuss my claim further.
I can't in good faith recommend a company that would send an unqualified mover, is ok with the unqualified mover providing insurance coaching and move quality assurances that they can't keep, and then offering to cut a pitiful check for the negligence and lack of diligence in moving my furniture with reasonable care.
I know that most of the damages could have been avoided if the movers had taken the time to use moving blankets and wrap items correctly, but those steps were not taken. Further one of the damaged items was a stand alone pantry. The damages were not initially disclosed. We all assumed the leg of the pantry had just fallen off. When the movers had found the leg on the truck (broken) they had shoddily reattached the ineffective leg to the pantry instead of informing us of the damage. After they had left, the pantry fell over onto her while she was opening it to put away groceries. This could have caused serious injury or worse and is the direct result of the movers not disclosing the broken leg.
The entire move was like watching a train wreck in slow motion, but the train was full of my furniture and I was paying for it all to happen.
This our second time using Two Men and a Truck to move furniture. Each time was over 100 miles. Both times the crew and a large truck arrived on time (as scheduled), everything was prepped and wrapped with padding then loaded onto the truck. At the final destination everything was off loaded, unwrapped and packed neatly into a storage unit. Nothing was damaged, dropped or scuffed during the entire move.
The office staff was super easy to work with during scheduling and the payment process.
Thank you again to James and Dasimon for the great job, support, care and handling of everything - Keep up the GREAT work!
