Two Men and a Truck Moving

I had a move on Sept 4th, and Robert, Jake, and TJ were the guys who did my move. They were all great! Moved everything quickly but safely. They chatted with my dad about football too (thanks for that I know nothing when he talks about it). All my furniture was set up how we wanted it, and they reconnected my adjustable bed frame for me. Overall, the job was done very well, the guys were great, and I’m completely happy with the service I received and will recommend using them to anyone who asks for movers.

Robert, Jake and Austin were really great and professional movers! Our move was extremely stressful but these guys' easy attitude, cracking jokes and friendly conversation helped in lightning our mood. Robert had to take apart our sofa to move it, and when he reassembled it, it was in BETTER condition then it had been before. He also stapled back together a small part that had come undone on the couch and on one of our bookcases all on his own. Austin and Jake also put together our brand new bed frame for us which also helped extraordinarily on us cross off one of the many items on our to-do list and gave us ease of mind. One last thing to note, their speed and strength was impressive. They took what was estimated to be a 8.5 hour job and did it in SIX. If you can, ask specifically for these guys.

Great moving experience. The team was very accommodating and efficient and took great care when packing and moving delicate items. No damage to items moved or walls in either home. I would definitely use them again and will recommend to others.

I want to share my experience with TMT's Downers Grove branch on July 1st. I scheduled an early morning move at 9 am, expecting an experienced crew. However, I was disappointed to receive what seemed like an inexperienced team. It took them almost 4 hours to clear out my garage (7 large grey totes) and 3 rooms in the house. I was particularly frustrated when one of the movers took nearly an hour to disassemble my king-size bed using a screwdriver instead of a drill, citing past theft of batteries and drill bits. Moreover, I was surprised that TMT does not provide their movers with essential tools for the job.

To add to my frustration, my office chair (a birthday gift) and a book stand were completely damaged during the move. To make matters worse, I found out that TMT charges a much higher security deposit compared to other moving companies after the fact.

I had used TMT to move from Oak Park to La Grange back in 2018 without any issues, and at a lower cost. But my recent experience with the Downers Grove branch was disappointing. I also learned that TMT locations are franchised, so the quality of service may vary depending on the location.

I strongly advise others to thoroughly research and consider other moving companies before choosing TMT, as my negative experience with this location has left me extremely dissatisfied, especially considering the cost of $1385.
