Two Men and a Truck Moving

DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS!!!!!!! This was the WORST moving experience I have EVER had! We hired this company to move us from Midland to Longview. When I was quoted, I was told they would load Friday at 8am and unload Saturday at 8am in Longview. Total load time quoted was 4 hours.

I was called the day before they were supposed to load and told that their guys 'don't like to get up early' so they would not show up to begin loading until 11-12 instead of 8am. Then I was told that it would take 8 hours to load!!! 8 FREAKING HOURS!??? I have moved over 20 times and normal load time for a 1500 sqft house has been 3 hours MAX! I told them that they could not wait until noon to begin loading as we needed to be in Longview Saturday morning so I would need to leave as soon as they were finished. He said he would try to get a team together that could get up early.

They showed up to load Friday morning around 9am. It was the team lead (Marcus) and three other guys. Marcus walked the house and then told his guys to get started. Marcus then left. It took the three guys over an hour to get two couches and a recliner loaded!!! They spent most of the time on their phones, walking around outside, or chatting with each other. We told them we were on a tight timeline and they said they didn't have a dolly to start loading the boxes! THEY DIDN'T HAVE A DAMN DOLLY!!!!!!!!!!! Let that sink in....movers showed up to my house and DID. NOT. HAVE. A. DOLLY! We let them borrow ours. I then called the guy that I orginally had dealt with....Mack. Mack was FULL of excuses. He said that the dolly was in the second truck and that is where Marcus had gone...He went to get the truck. It took him 3 hours to return with the second truck...and a dolly! During those 3 hours, very little had been loaded. When Marcus returned he came to my husband and I to complain that his guys were new and had done a terrible job loading so he now how to unload all of the progress to restack. He also stated that while they had a second truck, they did not have a driver for it so he wasted 3 hours going to get it and would have to shove it all into the one truck. He also told my husband and I that the team that was supposed to be traveling with him to Longview was not able to make the trip so he had no idea how our stuff was going to get unloaded once we made it to Longview! I was in a panic and so I called the corporate office and spoke to someone to let them know what was going on. She stated that this is not typical and understood why I was so unhappy. About 30 mins later Marcus and Mack called my cell trying to say that I misunderstood what Marcus said and that they had a plan and everything was under control. LIES!

It eventually took 8.5 hours to load our 1500 sq ft. house! Needless to say, we didn't get to Longview by Saturday due to these guys taking so long. Marcus said that he had 'stuff to do' Saturday morning so he planned to leave Midland to head to Longview around 11-12. It takes 8-9 hours to make the drive! I told them I needed my stuff ASAP and asked if they could leave earlier to allow for an evening delivery. I never got a response. At 11am I was told that Marcus was leaving Midland and would let me know when he would be able to deliver. Again, I never heard from him. Sunday morning at 8:30 I called Marcus to find out if he had made it to Longview and when could I expect my things delivered. He said he would be here by 9:30am.

They hired a local moving company here in Longview to help Marcus unload the truck. THANK GOODNESS they did! The local company showed up and WORKED!!

When Marcus finally arrived at 9:45am with the truck, the local guys busted their butts to get my truck unloaded. Marcus was full of excuses and wanted to stand around and talk. I witnessed him do little to nothing while the other guys were working so hard. In fact the local guys said they had never seen a truck loaded so poorly. 90% of all of my boxes were CRUSHED! One of my antique furniture pieces was broken.
NEVER USE THESE GUYS!!!!! WORST THING EVER!!!!!
