Ricky, Douglas, and Skylar were awesome! So patient, polite, friendly and very capable! They took great care of all my furniture! Nothing damaged or broken, not one mark! Super great guys! 2 Men and a Truck is a bit more expensive than other moving companies but you get what you pay for and in this case, they didn't disappoint!! I would highly recommend!!
Overall my move went smooth with zero issues on the day. But I’ve sadly now realized that a couple of expensive electronic items are missing. I’ve emptied all the boxes left, went through all my spaces and storage in the garage. Went back to my old place (my parents) I’ve searched the house a handful of times. There is nothing left in my bedroom or my office. My parents haven’t seen them. I know I packed one in a box that I didn’t tape shut- items on my desk and dresser. The other was in a cabinet I didn’t pack due to exhaustion of finishing cancer treatment. And the movers said it wasn’t a problem moving the cabinet with items inside. I found one charging cable to one item in the box.
I don’t like accusing anyone of theft without “evidence”, but I have done everything and looked everywhere. I haven’t seen the items since before the move. And to know that I now have basically “paid” double what I paid for moving day due to these items missing. For any business or even an individual to think of taking items or even act on those impulses, it’s a shame. I worked hard for the cost of hiring movers who seemed like good people, the house I pay rent for and the nicer items I purchase for myself.
If your men feel like they need to take clients personal items as “extra” for their job, it’s time to reevaluate who you have as a face for your company. Total for move: $434.50.
Total for move and missing items: $885.00
Update: Even though they have responded to my review to contact them, there is no resolution. Someone connected me to Chris who was not helpful nor cares for what happens to your items. One of the movers no longer works at the company. And the driver and other gentleman have been with them for three years. In Chris’s words “They wouldn’t do that.” How does anyone truly know.
I responded with, “then why did someone respond and ask me to contact you back”
His response, “ I honestly don’t know why.”
I let strangers come into my home and trusted them with my belongings. They will not comp me for anything since my move was over 90 days ago.
I will move on because this is life. It’s not life or death. I already had that with my own life.
Just a reminder to anyone who hires movers from any company. Make sure to tape your boxes shut, take any expensive items away from direct view and just keep an eye on the people handling your belongings. I always want to go on believing that there are decent human beings in this world. But I keep getting disappointed. Cheers to 2025
