Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

These guys did an amazing job! Moving is so overwhelming but they made it seem easy. It was very hot out and these guys worked their butts off. 10/10 would use again.

I definitely do not recommend “Two Men and a Truck” located in Hagerstown.

I assumed that I was going to be able to get 80% of my already packaged items and furniture moved by the movers.
When I called to make an appointment to move, I gave the girl an estimation of what I had. (Which is a one bedroom Townhome with an office plus washer & dryer & prepared packaged boxes)
I wasn’t told that I had to be PRECISE.
To my dismay, the movers said they “couldn’t take anything that wasn’t on their list”.

The workers called their office, the OFFICE REFUSED to ADD anything onto the list, even though I was willing to pay for the extra cost adjustment. (I only wanted to add an empty file cabinet, and “10” 3x4 boxes filled with belongings.)

I paid $1,400 just for them to move a washer, dryer, bed, chest of drawers, dresser, nightstand, small underwear dresser, love seat, chair, cedar chest, office desk, 4 cheap storage shelves, a light plastic cheap storage cabinet that was outside for my garden supplies, a weight bench, exercise bike & a pull-up bench. They refused to take anything else.

(They also left a couch behind that wouldn’t fit through the door because they put a bulky moving blanket on it, and they wouldn’t listen to me nor my husband, when we suggested that they take the moving blanket off of the couch so that it would fit through the door. Now we are stuck with finding a solution to get it moved to the new residence, on our own.)

They left me hanging by only taking 60% of my items, though they still had plenty of room on the truck

I have about *40* prepared 3x4 boxes that need to be moved, on a 2nd trip. The Office quoted me: 4 men at $1,800 for a second trip.

I feel ripped off.

I NEVER experienced ANYTHING like this with hired movers before…. In my entire life!
………Ridiculous.

I must also mention the helpful office staff which give me a fair quote and followed up with us on every detail.

Please extend my thanks to everyone involved in my move. I will certainly recommend your services to friends and family and will not hesitate to use your company for any future moves.

Jan & Brian were extremely helpful. I had a nightmare of a shipment that I needed storage on and they helped me on it and communicated well the whole time.

The guys that showed up to move us, went above and beyond and are a huge assets to Two Guys and a truck.This is the second time I have used Two Guys and a truck and would definitely recommend them. Hopefully this is the last time I have to move ?
