Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

Two Men and a Truck was recommended to me by a couple family members, and I was not disappointed. Setting up the appointment was a breeze! Very organized and answered all my questions. The movers were awesome too! They were friendly, respectful, worked very fast and were happy to accommodate all my requests. Moving is always stressful, but the entire experience was great and less expensive than I thought. I will definitely hire them again!

I'm not typically someone who leaves negative reviews and I was really surprised to see all the extremely positive reviews for this franchise because we had a terrible experience! We hired them in August 2024 for an out-of-state move because, like most, they are rated highly on google and other sites.

Issue #1:
To start, the manager who came out and estimated our job significantly underestimated it and were sold on 'x' price for the entire job. Then the day of the move arrives. Our movers themselves were great to work with, really respectful and polite but we quickly learned what we were told would be a 3-hour pack-up would be more like 8 hours on day one and 5 hours on day two AND not all of our items fit in the truck. We were told our only option was to leave items behind or we could pay for a smaller uhaul they could hitch on the back of the large box truck. I was adamant that it was not our responsibility, and they should cover the cost of the extra uhaul but was informed they weren't able to. We basically had our hands tied because we wanted to bring the remaining items and decided to pay for the extra uhaul. Even with the extra trailer, we still had items remaining! I had to review each item with the movers if it was a 'stay' or 'go'. And unfortunately, we left quite a few items!

The truck commute to our new state went smoothly and the items arrived safely. But then...

Issue #2:
Because the box truck so was ridiculously overpacked and items were shoved on top of each other, we had SO MANY damaged items!

Issue #3:
The problems only continued from there. The process to record the damages and get a refund was a nightmare even with the $1,000 full coverage insurance. The amount of calls and emails we had to make to get ahold of someone in the following weeks was ridiculous. I finally called one day and selected every option I could to get ahold of someone we had worked with and finally did. They acted very flippantly about our refund but eventually after 2 months of waiting we received a NOMINAL refund that wasn't even worth our time or stress.

Keep in mind they have a policy where you have to pay your final payment prior to the truck being unloaded in your new location. Which was learned was a joke because they aren't really held accountable for any of the damages made during unloading. My advice: DON'T PAY UNTIL ALL YOUR ITEMS ARE UNLOADED. If you have damages, make sure to get pictures and have receipts for all items.

My hope for future clients is that we were a one-off case and things just didn't go our way. But please keep this review in mind as you make your decision to work with them or not. We appreciate them getting some type of refund back to us but truthfully we were at the point of taking legal action because of the lack of communication and extended time it took to get any money from them.

The employee named Dylan was so rude and has no manners, poor attitude, poor customer service, and lack of education and sympathy.

A wonderful experience from my first phone call to the final delivery! Highly recommended. Tim and Dylan were awesome!

This company willfully and knowingly scammed me out of $1400. From reading other reviews from here and other two men and a truck locations, they will likely do the same to you.

I signed a bill at the end of my move for $2200, which was already a high price compared to competitors, and they wound up charging me $3600. They have diligently emailed everything but the $2200 bill that I signed. I have requested repeatedly for this to be corrected and to have the bill I signed emailed to me and they have refused to do so.i have given them ample time ( 10 days) to resolve this and they have refused to.

Go with someone else, they are thieves
