This was my first time using U Boxes to move. It was a great experience and all went well. Your employee, Lilibeth Vega was especially helpful in telling me how using U Boxes worked and what to expect. I called her numerous times with questions and she always had an answer. It was scary for me to put all my things in a box and trust them to a process that would take them across the country to another state, but Lilibeth made me feel confident that all would be ok.
The whole process went smoothly and I received the same quality of care in Texas from the Uhaul locations in Victoria, Texas and Corpus Christi Texas.
The women that delivered the empty boxes, picked up the full boxes and delivered them to my new home were very proficient in their movements and loading/unloading of the boxes.
Poor communication from the U-Box storage place that was holding my 4U boxes for 1 month they failed to tell me that one u box front panel of the door ripped open and 25% of my stuff got flooded nevertheless a month later after multiple phone calls to these people did they never tell me about that I didn't find that out until it was delivered to me a month and a half later and when the driver dropped it off she left and she said I guess they didn't tell you about that did they I said nope still trying to get a hold of the president of U-Haul can't reach the claims department to follow up on my case, general managers don't call back, Good luck reaching anybody they just keep hanging up the phone a claim regarding my damaged goods was created by the general manager here in Georgia where my stuff was taken to by the way this was a different storage unit that I was told it was going to originally be taken to while I was in Florida originally chose this company because I thought it was cheaper but in the long run it's not avoid it!
From California to Florida in what to us, was one easy step :). Very pleased with the drop-offs, pick-ups, staff have all been professional and friendly, coping with changes and daft questions!
I was confirmed for a 9am Pick Up of my 2 uboxes by the Palm Bay location In Person Face to Face the day before. I was told both uboxes would be ready and waiting on 1 trailer at 9am for the Moving Help Movers to hook up to and be on their way to my place to load.
Instead some Complete Fool at UHaul went and changed my Pick Up time that same afternoon to a 12pm Pick Up time and NEVER ONCE DID ANY FOOL AT UHAUL EVER CONTACT ME TO INFORM ME.
Keep in mind my ubox containers reservation CLEARLY shows I was moving from Melbourne Florida to Florence Arizona. Because of my move being across the country I was shipping my vehicle and literally my entire life. I also had Flights Scheduled with Delta for myself and my dog.
My entire move was scheduled down to the minute with every aspect of time.
Because some idiot decided to change everything on me WITHOUT MY APPROVAL AND WITHOUT EVEN SO MUCH AS CALLING ME TO SEE IF I COULD CHANGE THINGS IN MY SCHEDULE THE ENTIRE MOVE WAS THROWN INTO CHAOS!
And on top of the Moron that changed my uboxes from 9am to 12pm, the Moving Help Movers showed up at 12noon at the Palm Bay location and were told that my 2 uboxes were not even ready, not even prepared, and Not Even Loaded onto a trailer at that time.
The Moving Help Movers called me to inform me there would be yet another delay because of the Palm Bay Lack of Any Good Management!
At 1pm I drove to the Palm Bay Location and Raised the Roof Demanding to speak to a Manager and was told by the desk agent who kept running into the managers office and back out to me as a go between telling me the So Called Manager was on a phone call and could not be bothered at that time. The desk agent was so flustered and confused and told me they were working on getting my uboxes loaded onto a trailer right at that moment and they would be ready for the Moving Help Movers at 1:30pm.
I never was able to speak to the Palm Bay Manager at that time but I told the desk agent I better get a phone call from that manager asap, that was now Over 1 Month ago and I NEVER DID GET A CALL FROM THAT MANAGER, I am guessing she is still on that very important phone call she was hiding out in her office from me the day I was piping mad and demanding to speak to her.
This is a SHAMEFUL AND DISGUSTING way to treat a customer that had spent $3000.00 on a move with uhaul!
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS PALM BAY LOCATION!!!
THEY HAVE HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND ARE LIARS RIGHT TO YOUR FACE!
