I tend to loose track of time . I never once got cussed out . For late return or nothin.

U-Haul completely screwed over my wife today. She made a reservation 6 weeks ago for a moving truck to support her move from Monterey.

Despite making a reservation they texted her the day before to tell her that they didn’t have any trucks and had to go 45 mins away to Salinas to get a truck. She lives up there by herself without a car (which wouldn’t have helped regardless). Even worse, when she called this U-Haul center to attempt to address the issue the woman on the phone was completely dismissive and rude to my wife. Horrible customer service. U-Haul in three significant ways fumbled here. It is bad enough that they completely failed to provide promised resources to customers but failing to notify people who plan their lives around these things adds tremendous fuel to the fire. The icing on top of that is being rude and having horrible customer service about it.

Even worse, when my wife did manage to get up to Salinas to pick up the truck it was in some very sketchy industrial area that was just a wrecking yard. Imagine making a reservation for a rental car at an airport only to be told they have none and you need to make your way an hour away to some car impound lot to find a beat up Chevy to drive there? That is what U-Haul is endorsing here.

Both U-Haul corporate and this U-Haul branch completely failed us here. We move a lot. I will never patron U-Haul again and ensure that I help the competition put U-Haul out of business with practices like this.
