U-Haul Moving & Storage at El Paseo

So glad we found this place! Ed Ramirez was wonderful! He knows his stuff and helped us work out the least expensive option for our move. He was friendly and efficient! Thank you!
***I want to add that I wrote this when first reserving the van, and when we actually picked it up, used it for a week and returned it, everything went just as smoothly, thanks to Ed and his crew. ***From Jack Isbell *** Ed Ramirez was as personable as people come. In this day and age, it is quite wonderful to find a manager of a large company that has Ed's qualities. Three times l went to U Haul in Las Cruces and each time Ed remembered me and made me feel great about his company and my requests. The last time, when l turned my rental unit in,...l found Ed outside washing a vehicle. He stopped and greeted me and got my business done quickly and easily. This man knows 'his stuff' and cares about U-Haul and me. Keep him and put him over ten locations! Every manager could learn from Ed Ramirez and be better! One smart man, Ed! Thank you, Jack lsbell

The link didn't work to fill out the equipment condition form. It kept blacking out after I clicked the camera. Otherwise the equipment worked fine and it was in and out, same day.

The check-in process was terrible. The employee was rude and had an attitude because I was 30 mins late from my reservation time and didn’t call to let them know. He said the reservation had been cancelled. If I’m going to be late, they expect a courtesy call, I am renting their equipment. He seemed irritated that he had to redo the reservation to get a proper drop off time for the 6 hour rental, told me I was late, that the 30 mins is on me not them. When I made the reservation, I said I would pick it up around 10, if they expect a phone call for being 30 mins late, they should state that when the reservation is made. Then the equipment plate didn’t match the paperwork. When I checked in on my phone, it told me to go into the desk to have it updated, the employee told me just take my own pics and go with that. There are other U-Haul locations in town, I’ll be using them in the future.

On a positive note, the drop off process was very good and the employees were very professional and friendly.

Mileage and gas rates are ridiculous
