Walked in and they were charging me 150$ more than I was quoted for a hitch installation. It then took 5 & 1/2 hours for them to do the job. I paid and left after he walked me over to “explain what I would have to do in order to hook up the electrical for the trailer” in which was not tucked, so I now will have to have that tucked or continue closing my trunk on the cable, which WILL damage the cord over time causing it to not work anymore.
They were so rude and unprofessional when I showed up worried because I called multiple times to check on it and they were not answering. Stated it would be another hour so I walked out to ask about it to the technician and he said, “okay what do you want me to do about it” after stating to me my car keys would have to be picked up the next day if I could not stay to wait for my keys. (I mean - maybe know how to do your job and install hitches properly if I am paying top dollar on labor.) Keep in mind I was doing work for my grandmas old house an hour away from where I was staying that day so I scheduled the appointment at this location, which is the familiar location for me. Absolutely unacceptable experience. Will NEVER go to a uhaul if I can help it due to how everything was handled on ALL levels. Would highly recommend avoiding this location specifically!
My truck was on E, and it broke down twice. I put gas in, and the receptionist refused to reimburse me for the gas, despite being promised a reimbursement if I brought the truck back at a quarter tank.
Very rude and condescending representative requested to take my picture with his cellphone. I refused and asked when did the new policy start, as I have previously used Uhaul, last time was 4 months prior. The rep stated to make sure I don’t commit fraud. His comment was rude and offensive and I will not be using Uhaul in the future. It’s a proper way to speak to customers and this team member needs training 101
Disappointing Experience
I recently rented a cargo van and was quite disappointed with my experience. I specifically requested a 9’ Cargo Van, but they provided me with a 10’ truck instead, despite the smaller option being available. This was frustrating, as it didn’t meet my needs.
To make matters worse, the condition of the truck was unacceptable. The interior was dirty, with sticky floors and a filthy cupholder section. It was clear that proper cleaning hadn't been done before handing it over. Additionally, the truck was given to me with an empty fuel tank, which was incredibly inconvenient.
Overall, my experience fell short of expectations. I hope they can improve their service and vehicle maintenance in the future.
My experience with management was horrible. Too many lies and discrepancies between the fill in manager Jacob and GM. RODRIGO. BOTH Lied to me several times and made changes to my account without notifying me. They were both asked to call me to discuss my issue but I had to call them only to be lied to. It's unacceptable. Charges were made to my account without contacting me. And have not been reversed even after speaking to Rodrigo. Very disappointing.
