U-Haul Moving & Storage at Transit Rd

Horrible experience with U-Haul Truck. The first truck we were given had windshield wipers that were not working. The replacement we were given was sliding ALL over the road in very minimal snow. The emptied truck couldn’t handle even two-three inches of snow as the tires were completely bare. When calling to let them know about this and feeling unsafe driving it back, they said there was nothing they could do. If you are moving in winter and there is even an inch of snow, I don’t recommend renting a U-Haul. Customer service also does not seem to care about their customers safety.

Unpleasant experience. I needed roadside assistance for a flat tire. Was told the tow truck driver would be 45 mins away, then 20, then another 30, then 15, etc. Ended up waiting almost 3 hours to have a flat tire repaired. Even with the rental extension I was unable to complete my move and needed to rent another truck the following day.

The person that took care of me at the counter was exceptional. He was very professional and polite. His helper outside was another story. While backing my vehicle to hook up to the trailer, I was having difficulty seeing what was behind me in the backup camera because of the glare of the sun. And their hand signals were too low to see from the rear window. It took about 5 attempts . At one point, I even got out of the car to see where I was at. I told them that I was having a hard time seeing anything and the helper ( we'll call him bearded guy) got kind of testy and said ' I'VE BEEN DOING THIS ! ' making a directional hand gestures. Hand gestures that I couldnt see. Got all hooked up and gone. Trailer was great. Returned to drop off trailer. Pulled up to spot and waited. It took a little while, but then 'bearded guy ' came out . Unhooked the trailer and walked away. Not a thumbs up or a ' you're all set' Maybe I missed it...But my daughter confirmed that he never even looked at us. Whatever was on his phone was more important. Now, I dont rent trailers everyday. In fact its probably been decades, so I didnt know if he was bringing me out a receipt for proof that I returned it or what.. So I sat there ....waiting. Until finally , I got out of my vehicle and went inside the building to the counter and asked if I'm set to leave. That person in the lot was the factor in not giving you a perfect rating. He really let it be known that he didnt give a care about the customer.
