U-Haul Moving & Storage of Ames

Agent was not coherent enough to hear my needs and apply them to the rental I needed and ended up costing me 100+dollars I was allowed 270miles on a trip that was 260 miles from store to store with 10miles le way people don't move from store to store and the home was 20miles north of Ames but the app routed me to that store because it was the closest one and this was all explained to the in coherent booking agent . Jayden and Danielle seriously dropped the ball on this one . I'm going to the president of u haul if I have to this isn't over by any means
Don't do business with scammers . We was scared and promised things that the agent knew was not going to happen..

It was super easy to rent a moving van same day as I needed it and then return it that evening after hours. I didn't realize the process would be that smooth so I intend to use this option more often.

Do NOT rely on staffs here to count the number of boxes or items correctly. Makes sure you do your own inspection of the truck before renting it. The staff rented me a truck without a functioning AC and I had a horrendous experience driving through New Mexico, Arizona and California desert without AC. I'm very disappointed.

Caleb was very helpful during the return process, which was very welcoming after a 9.5 hour drive. Because of his efforts, my return process went smoothly despite some of the internal challenges regarding contract updates. That being said, since these things happen, Caleb made sure that everything was closed out cleanly and because of this experience, I would recommend Caleb and this U-Haul location to anyone wanting help getting a trailer/truck for moving.
