U-Haul Moving & Storage of Carlsbad

I had reserved a mobile pickup. Upon arrival, I noticed there were no dollys in my truck after i had reserved them. I had to wait until the store opened only for them to tell me that they didn't have any. They could have told me this several days ago. How was I supposed to load my truck without dolly's, especially the fridge? Why did nobody call and give me a heads up so that I could have made better preparations? Also the uhaul leaked oil all over my new driveway. The employee in Carlsbad was very nice and apologized and refunded my dolly rentals but I was on a tight schedule and had help waiting on me to help load. I was very mad and usually don't get that way but it was probably beyond her control. I asked if I could borrow the dolly's they had for sell and I was told no lol.

This Place is very clean and nice. I came in to rent a storage unit with climate control. The price is very reasonable. I ordered a 10x10 unit The u haul place offers 24 hour access Security alarms, Different sizes of storage units, Are we parking for your motorhomes or camping trailers, And last offers indoor customer Restrooms. Tabitha who is the General manager here was Very profnational and accommodating. She even walked me up to my Storage unit to make sure everything was right. I will definitely recommend this place to Store your access household items.

Went to drop off a rental truck after moving. Uhaul employee came outside to check truck in. Took possession of the truck keys to do the checkin. He left keys in ignition and the door got shut with the doors locked, while truck was running. The manager said we were responsible for $200 retrieval of the truck keys. NO SPARE KEYS. Uhaul claimed my husband shut truck door and manager states that she reviewed camera footage and stated my husband closed the door without showing us proof. This place is a SCAM. SCAM SCAM SCAM. If this place is your only option to move, my best advice. Don’t use this uhaul. Definitely don’t let the employees here have possession of the keys until the checkin is DONE. Huge mistake renting a truck here. They also lost a customer for renting a unit here as well. We planned on coming back to rent a storage unit but that will not happen. Attn. manager- no need to reply to this review. You know you scammed us. No need for an “Apology” through a keyboard.
