Inaccurate website went in to rent something that they say they have in stock online get there completely out guy wasn’t helpful but very rude
Returned a truck here. The guy working was really nice and made it very easy.
Rented a truck here, asked the agent helping me how much each additional day would cost in the event I needed to keep the truck one day extra. She (and the other man who was sitting at the register next to her) both immediately responded and said that each additional day would cost $40. Thought that was reasonable, so I decided to keep the truck one additional day beyond the initial contract. When we asked how to go about returning the truck to a location that was labeled as a “neighborhood dealer,” she said, “You just drop it off.” Never mentioned anything about an app, after hours fees, and lied about a one hours grace period. To my surprise, when I pulled up to the location listed as the drop-off at 1:30PM NO ONE was around. There were no instructions posted anywhere, no information, nothing to indicate that Uhaul even operated there other than a few other parked trucks. Called this location and was put on hold over 20 minutes while I frantically tried to figure out the return process. Called Uhaul customer service when no one picked up the line in Cat City and waited another 30 minutes to be told I needed to download an app, take several pictures, and find the drop-box for the keys. I sat in a parking lot for over and hour and a half trying to figure out the process and when I finally finished my truck was over an hour and a half late. Who would’ve thought? I was charged $140 dollars extra because the person who helped me rent this truck did nothing to explain the return process, withheld that there was a DAILY insurance rate, misinformed me about a 1 hour grace period, and was not forthcoming about the actual cost for each day the truck was late. I was charged $100 more than I expected to pay Uhaul. You guys should be ashamed for taking advantage of people in this economy and if this isn’t made right, I won’t be returning. I have been a loyal Uhaul customer for over 40 years. $100 is nothing to this company, but it is everything to an elderly woman.
