U-Haul Moving & Storage of Central Murfreesboro

Very nice U-Haul center. I had already started self return of truck with app by the time the guy came out. He asked if I’d like to continue or have him take over - he was very accomodating. As I was finishing with the app they were cleaning the truck. They were thoroughly cleaning it too. I was impressed with how well and how fast they jumped on it once they started. They were also very courteous. I’m definitely using this location again. This location has great reviews for a reason.

We rented a small trailer for 24 hours. We got back exactly 2 hours late. I can understand if someone else needed that trailer, but they literally took it around back. And they charged us for another WHOLE DAY!! Like I said, I can understand if someone was standing there waiting on it, but it sat in the lot. They also said… “it’s in the contract” that if you’re 15 min late (U-Haul corporate), they can charge you for another day. Number one, that’s ridiculous. Number two, they said if we had called to tell them we would be late they would have worked with us. Ok, so why didn’t you tell me this when I rented the trailer???? Then I would have known to give a heads up. Hopefully I won’t ever have to rent from them again.

From start to finish, my experience with this U-Haul location was outstanding. The team was incredibly prompt, polite, and direct, providing excellent customer service right from the beginning. I truly appreciated the transparency in communication and the detailed information provided about the vehicle—they answered all my questions clearly and efficiently.

One of the highlights of my experience was their flexibility. Initially, I had booked a 20' truck that ended up being too large for my needs. When I asked if they had a 15' option, they quickly accommodated my request, ensuring I had the right vehicle without any unnecessary delays. The process was seamless, and I was genuinely impressed by their responsiveness.

Loading the truck was effortless, and I was pleased to find it came equipped with a dolly and moving blankets—an unexpected but very welcome surprise. It made the entire move smoother and more convenient. When I returned the truck, I filled it up to three-quarters of a tank, and even that process was easy, with gas prices being very affordable in Tennessee. The final inspection upon return was quick and hassle-free.

What really sets this location apart is the honesty and transparency—no hidden fees or surprises, just straightforward service. This level of customer care is exactly why they earned my five-star rating. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and I will definitely be coming back here for any future needs. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a smooth, transparent, and reliable rental experience. Thank you for making it all so easy!

I'd give them Zero stars if I could...

I rented a 10ft truck there and drove it for 4 hours on I75. We stopped to rest overnight at a hotel and went to get something to eat the next early afternoon. Before getting on the road again I went to check the tire pressure and noticed there was a 2 inch gash on one of the tire walls (front passenger). So after 30 minutes of calling local Uhaul places for help and not getting assistance I called 1-800 go uhaul and they sent out someone.

I had to sit in a parking lot for almost an about an hour and a half waiting for someone. Once the guy was there we noticed the other front tire had serious damages also. Good thing he brought two tires.

The guy was fast, friendly and efficient. he switched out both front tires and was done in less than 30 minutes.

The next day I called customer service about this incident and THE REP submitted a request for a full refund. I did not ask for a full refund, to be clear.

Within the next few minutes I received a call back from the manager from Uhaul at 1420 Memorial Blvd Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

He denied all responsibility in the matter and said that someone did that to our truck AFTER we picked it up. We went back and forth for a few minutes and he said he/they were not responsible for that. And that those damages were done either by US or by someone else. My question is...HOW? How would we create those damages just from driving it on the highway?? And no I did not hit any curbs or run into anything that would've damaged those tire walls like that.

What would've happened it those tires would've blown out going 75 miles an hour on the freeway?? Not only did they put my life in danger by not properly inspecting those tires, but they placed everyone else's life in danger who was traveling behind me or next to me.

And what REALLY bothers me is that he blamed it on us and would not take responsibility in the matter AT ALL.

And this is the second time something like this happens. Previously we rented a 10ft truck from Uhaul in Knoxville and while driving from Knoxville to Murfreesboro it started to rain. So I turned on the wipers and guess what...NO WIPERS! Just the bare metal scratching the glass! Good thing it only rained for like a minute or less.

Seems to me these guys are simply accepting the truck from customers, and not FULLY inspecting them which is VERY dangerous!

What happens when enough customers share their bad experiences all over social media??
