U-Haul Moving & Storage of Currie Park

They could not open the lock on the original 15’ truck I rented. They gave me another one with less than a gallon of gas in it. They told me I would get a gas credit on my bill. I spent $89 filling the 30 gallon tank. I used half of the gas I put into the truck.

When I turned it in I showed them the receipt from my gas purc. They then told me the don’t give credit on gas.

So they gave me a truck with less than a gallon of gas telling me I would receive a credit a gas credit for the gas I put into it so I could use it, then told they told me they wouldn’t. This is not how you treat customers.

Fastest I have ever been in and out of a u-haul before. The truck was trash they didn't clean it. The last person's paperwork was still in it. The dolly wasn't secured. When you got in the brakes made a humming noise that sounded like the abs was kicking in. There where dents all over and they didnt care to mark anything down. I had to take pictures of them all to make sure they didnt try to charge me. It had no power and would struggle on the hwy going up hills even with it empty. Returned it with more gas then I took it with and didn't get a credit but they made sure to charge me for the less the 10 extra miles I used.

They were amazing and NeNe the manager worker with me and all of the staff were very professional,kind, and very helpful! Than you to the U-haul team

Their no pro-rating policy when someone checks out after the 1st of the month is ridiculous. They will keep the entire storage payment you made for the month. Can't recommend.

I would strongly advise against having a trailer hitch installed at this location of U-Haul, specifically by the Manager, Adam Eberhardy. I dropped my car off for a hitch install and immediately upon picking up up noticed a rattling sound. It was quickly discovered that he cut (hacked) the heat shield in half, removed a panel that never should have been removed (and discarded), and did not drop the muffler as he should have. I discovered all of this by watching a prompt 7 minute U-haul hitch installation on my exact car. After weeks of lack of communication they did refund the parts that I had to have replaced. However, I had to pay to have them installed again elsewhere as I no longer trusted the integrity of their work and wanted to assure they didn't remove anything else that they shouldn't have. I would go literally anywhere else given the option. Especially given that the manager is the one who did this install.
