Terrible customer service employees were rude and very disrespectful!! It was almost like I was being an inconvenience because I needed a rental!! I will never come back to this UHaul ever again!!
Employees were extremely rude and both on personal calls when I arrived. One of which, continued her personal FaceTime call discussing how she didn't want to be at work. I am a business owner and have used several U-Haul locations many times over the last 6 years without ever having an issue until today. After letting the employee know what size truck I need and for how long, “Trey”, the employee, reads the screen, looks at me, and says “So listen bruh, if you rent a truck from this location, its comes back to this location, simple as that.” Me looking confused, I say “Right, I know that”. Trey then tells me I have a warning note on my file that states, “Customer refused to return truck to correct location and became angry when instructed to do so”. This incident never took place and as I try to explain this to the employee named “Trey”, he cuts me off saying “well I’m reading it off the screen bruh so I don’t know what to tell you”. I then go on to explain that we have rented over 20 trucks in the last month or so from this exact location and no other employee including the manager I usually deal with, has mentioned this “warning” to me. He continues to argue with me and then gets mad and walks away. Another employee walks over to finish the contract and she is smiling almost sarcastically. She says “He’s just doing his job”. I reply, “I understand but theres a right way and a wrong way to speak to people. Especially when you're in customer service. I’m just trying to get to the bottom of this warning note Ive never heard about.” She stares at the screen, speechless for about 30 secs or so to which I say “Are you able to finish the rental or do I need to go somewhere else?” Zero attitude or expressions behind my question at all. I only asked because she was literally standing there with a blank stare. She then steps back, calls me disrespectful and says she shouldn't now since I asked and says she has the right to refuse due to this mysterious note on my file. I’d pay thousands of dollars to get the footage from this incident because these people should NEVER work in customer service again. In my 14 years of living and working in this area, I have never experienced such poor workmanship and professionalism like I did here.
Scheduled a hitch install a month in advance and paid in full. Called the day of the install to make sure they had me on the books because I hadn't heard any update since my confirmation emails and was told they never officiated it. Had them do a reverse charge so I could take it somewhere where they would honor the appointment.
I had a simple in town move that I needed a 10ft truck for. The nice man Trey initially helped me out with the reservation. He was professional and even changed the pick up time for my reservation. When I went to pick up the truck, I had the unfortunate experience of the manger Quwanna Woods. This woman was rude, annoyed that I wasn’t familiar with the U-Haul app, she was mean and extremely unprofessional. She made me feel very uncomfortable and even asked if I remembered her. I told her no I don’t because why would I know some U-Haul lady when all I want is to rent a truck. I said under my breath I’ll hold my patience and she replied you better. I will never recommend the Park Avenue location in Lynchburg as long as this person is manager. 0 stars because of the rude, unprofessional, extremely poor at customer service “manager”. She wasn’t helpful, a bad attitude and didn’t help me AT ALL. 0/5 because of the awful manager.
Thank you so much Trey and Q, they were the most friendliest people I called another U-Haul place and they were rude so I decided to go to this one Trey was amazing he was friendly he was patient Q came in at the last minute but she was polite she spoke she smiled I appreciate everything that they done for me.
