When they ask for an alternate contact to verify your identity just know that if that person owes them $1 they will ban YOU from renting even tho that person has absolutely nothing to do with ur rental and was to “verify “ ur identity. They should just say if you know someone who owes us money we will try to extort the money out of you. Because that is borderline or just flat out extortion. I don’t owe U-Haul a single penny from any of my rentals ever. Crazy way to treat returning customers by extorting them for someone else’s bill , crazy . Never again
