U-Haul Moving & Storage of East Bellwood

I was going to give these people a pass, but unfortunately now it's just too much. I scheduled moving help in March for assistance in moving a one bedroom. At first the movers did not show up on the day they were scheduled. They didn't have access to the ubox. I called and had to reschedule them for another day. Then this location made it hard to get the ubox picked up as the location would not give the box to the movers because they weren't me.

After a couple of phone calls they released the trailer. We loaded it up and then took it to the new place, unloaded, and the movers returned the box the same day. I was still charged a full month of rent. Today, however, I was charged another month of rent, over 100 dollars, for a box that I used for a few hours and already returned.

When I contacted customer service, they completely ignored the fact that I was being charged rent for something that was returned, they also didn't respond when I pointed out that not only had I already paid the bill and returned it, I had not agreed to an autopay system. So they charged my card from the original booking without my approval. Customer service kept pushing me to call someone else, then call someone else, then call the first person. When I said that the phone number, addresses, vehicles, and drivers license information was *ALL* incorrect on my account they said I needed to talk to the ubox people about the charge. It's like they deliberately ignored everything except one word to pass the problem off.

I am now disputing the charge with a credit card to try to reverse this from another direction. Overall, just atrocious and horrendous people without the capacity to understand the words put in front of them. If you want a masterclass in incompetence and mismanagement, UHAUL is a prime example of how to fail to do the simplest of all jobs 'Own an empty building with locked doors.' and honestly, that's pretty pathetic.
