I have one complaint. We had to inspect and bring the uhaul out of alot of snow ourselves. I think, out of courtesy they should bring the uhauls up for the customer.
Unfair Price Increases & Poor Customer Service
I’ve been a customer at the U-Haul storage facility in Flint, MI, for the past seven years. While the facility itself has been decent, the pricing has been a constant frustration. The units are already overpriced, but what really pushes things over the edge is the relentless rate increases pushed down from the corporate office. Every 2-3 months, I receive yet another letter informing me of a rent hike—typically ranging between $5 and $10 per occurrence. These increases add up quickly, making it feel like U-Haul is taking advantage of long-term customers.
I’ve attempted to address my concerns multiple times. I spoke with Dante, the general manager at the Flint location, as well as Terra, the administrative assistant at the corporate office. Instead of offering any real solutions, Terra has now gone as far as blocking all incoming calls from me, refusing to help escalate my concerns to the appropriate leaders within U-Haul. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable.
It’s disappointing that a company I’ve been loyal to for seven years treats its customers this way. If you’re considering storing your belongings here, be prepared for constant price increases and a corporate office that refuses to listen to customer concerns. I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone looking for fair pricing and respectful customer service.
This is how all locations should be kept and staffed. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and just all around pleasant. Only good part of our whole move. Thank you for being awesome.
