DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!!! $10k+ OF WATER DAMAGE (NO FLOODING) AS THE UNITS ARE NOT PROTECTIVE AGAINST THE ELEMENTS. We put our stuff in belongings while we were in the process of selling our house and moving cross country. We put it in one of the truck box storage units when you first pull in for about 3 months. EVERYTHING WAS WATER AND DIRT DAMAGED. the units provided no protection from the weather. There wasn't even any extreme weather, just general bama weather. We'd have been better just putting it in the yard with a tarp loosely covering it. Management did nothing because we didn't purchase insurance. But insurance is for severe weather damage like floods and what not. This is just general weather. Nothing extreme. They just lack the ability to provide any protection. Over $10k damage. Had to throw a lot of large furniture pieces away. Tvs not working from moisture. The box truck units are a money grab. Will never use U-Haul for storage again.
Not only did I sit in my car burning my gas for almost half an hour because no one was inside at that moment. I went to a near by store to get something to drink since it was so hot once I got back they were there. I walked in to 2 females 1 busy with an elder man another heavy set 1 with dark hair that refuse to acknowledge of my presence. Not until I had to urine as I walked by her she screamed 'where are you going' repeatedly very loud and unprofessional. Unlike her i acknowledged her and informed her of the bad customer service she then stated she was busy on the computer. Being 7 months pregnant once im irritated it's honestly a wrap, so I continued to the restroom afterwards I left no longer wanting service. Because a simple '1 moment' could have made this situation totally different. Corporate is my next move because as a courier service that rent their trucks when volume is high I will definitely not accept that.
Sara the manager at this location helped resolve a drop off problem that broke down 3 times via phone with main office, 1 time in person & several $ charges later with the Uptown location. She went the extra mile after I wasted hours on the phone dealing with my drop location a week later. And they still tried to stick her with the problem she was not involved in. Shady. Rent from this location.
Nearly 5 months since the tornado damage at this location and they still haven't fixed my unit. My belongings are still in a crate at a different location (was never told they were being taken there), I am getting late payment emails from the second location (who I had never previously done business with) even though I have always been on auto pay, none of the employees at either location can even figure out how to resolve my bill because they say I am the other location's customer, and the managers never call me back. Suffice to say my customer experience is not very good.
