THE STAFF IS AWESOME
I had a reservation for a 10ft truck. When I got to Uhaul I was told they didn't have 1 available but they could give me a 15ft truck. I was reluctant because I didn't need one that large. I was told that it would be the same price as the 10ft. I said ok. Once the associate started entering information the price kept going up. It went from $60 to $160. There is a extra charge for using a cashapp card. I told her to cancel it no thanks. When I came back 5hrs later and spoke ro someone else the price was $40 total. Make it make since please. Next time I'll go with Home Depot or someone else.
$150 for a van to move boxes to a storage 2.2 miles from a house is RIDICULOUS!! There was no way I drove 100 miles and only had to put $8 back in the tank to put it on full. NEVER AGAIN! I'll find a cracked head truck 1st
Dropped off a truck here and the general manager Shawna was wonderful! Helpful, kind, and funny! Great customer service.
I recently had a highly disappointing experience with your storage and rental truck services. Upon arriving at my storage unit, I found it filled with trash, which caused me an additional day of moving and a lost day of work. Given that I was paying movers, I expected to be compensated for the extra day, miles, and gas. Instead, I was told, 'I can't keep giving you free stuff,' and was only compensated with an $8 mattress cover, despite incurring significant additional expenses for a hotel and another day of labor.
I rented the truck on the 28th with the understanding that it would be returned on the 29th and that I would be charged for one day. I explicitly informed the general manager that I did not want to incur additional charges for gas, miles, or days due to the trash-filled unit. Despite this, I was charged for an additional day, gas, and miles. The charges were for a mere 20 miles and a quarter tank of gas, yet I was billed at a premium rate. When I addressed this with the general manager, I was again told, 'I can't keep giving you free stuff.'
In total, I am out over $300 in expenses and was only compensated with a free mattress cover worth approximately $8. While the general manager did offer to come out that night, my laborers had already finished for the day as we had an agreed-upon time frame.
I expected to pay for one day with the truck and 20 miles, but I was charged twice as much. This, combined with my additional expenses, does not reflect good customer service. As a result, I plan to move my property to another company before I have to pay for another month of storage at your facility.
Below is a picture of the unit I was told would be ready.
