U-Haul Moving & Storage of Huber Heights

I used this location as my drop off point for my truck. I received the truck at 5/8 of tank and returned it at 1/2 a tank and they charged me $61. I had to contact U-Haul customer service and they verified I was overcharged. If I hadn't covered my butt and taken a photo of the dash I would have been screwed. As a small business every dollar counts and stuff like this burns me on being a future customer.

I rented a truck with the intentions of a 500+ mile trip. Driving the truck locally for a few miles the check engine light came on. I returned the truck to the center. They ran the code. The code came up with multiple misfires. I was told there was nothing that could be done, I have to call u haul roadside assistance. The tech had cleared the code before I left with the obd reader. Upon returning home I called roadside assistance. They dispatched a tow truck to me. The operator said he wasn’t getting anything, and the code should have not been erased. I called roadside again and asked to speak to manager. I Spoke with Emma who said she was out of corporate. She said there is nothing we can do the code came back fine. I told her I would like to swap vehicles. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. She said she couldn’t because nothing was wrong, even though the U-Haul employee cleared the code. She got argumentative while I was voicing my frustration, which is her job to listen and not cut me off every time I try to explain. with me over it. She said she could send out another tow truck and driver to check it out. This was pointless having someone coming to do the same thing to tell me the same thing 3 hours later. I told her I did not want the rental and to have them tow it. She said nothing was wrong with it and if I didn’t bring it back, I would be charged. She put me under violation of the federal code and put me at risk of causing harm or bodily injury to others I share the road with. When the branch office opened the next day I got apology and my refund. They ignore the fact I had to leave at 5am which resulted in me not being able to make it home on time. I had to buy an emergency plane ticket back home and fly back next week to load up another truck. I spent hours loading and unloading as well on top of 1000 dollars in airline flights. I’m not risking my life driving a misfiring truck with codes cleared right in front of me. Manager said take the truck out of service for repair to the employee. He offered me a business card and said give me a call when you comeback we will see what discount we can offer. Nothing was offered at this point, and I don’t plan on using uhaul ever again. They put customers’ lives in danger along with the rest of the population using the roadway.

Thankfully, staff rented to me minutes before closing and with a smile.

This place is the best the cleanest the most efficient well-raned U-Haul or any other rental car agency that I've ever been to In My Life this the staff here are so helpful they're all happy the place is always so clean businesses ran so efficiently and hats off to my man Tony the manager this one hell of a guy because of this guy Tony right here the manager at the Brandt Pike Huber heights U-Haul in Ohio this man single-handedly the reason why I'll never go to another place to rent a vehicle of any kind ever again even if I need to rent a car I'll just go rent a truck from Tony he's the man bro seriously this dude is got to be one of the best management and best all in general person like he's just a really good guy. And hats off to him for being able to run his store the way that he does and have it rent so efficiently that man deserves him a raise and I'm not saying he don't make enough money I don't know what the man makes but I'm just saying if it whatever it is I'm sure he deserves more as a from a customer's point of view that man's got that business running way better than efficient I will never go to another place in my entire life while I live in the state of Ohio to rent a vehicle for moving or even a personal vehicle if I need a personal vehicle I will swear to God go straight there to U-Haul on Brandt Pike and rent a truck from Tony before I go anywhere else that's off to you brother thank you so much for the amazing service
