U-Haul Moving & Storage of Iowa City

Had multiple reservations just to have them canceled. One we were told about the cancellation an HOUR before we were supposed to pickup. Furthermore, we reserved for 24 hours, finally picked up the truck, signed the keypad and got handed the paperwork. Saw the reservation had been changed without telling us for 5pm-12am?! That’s not 24 hours!! We also got a call that night saying we were late. We won’t be back.

U-Haul in Iowa City and Coralville both had these issues. I understand college rush but then why let us make reservations at all?! Completely disorganized and awful company.

Honestly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! Extremely disorganized and complete lack of communication between employees and customers. 0/10 experience and would NEVER recommend to anyone else.

Made a reservation months in advance, and when the day came the truck was ready for me! It was a very easy experience for my first time renting a moving truck! Good customer service in person at the Iowa City location.

The manager Rachel Matthews is a very rude person don’t know how to run a U-Haul, my son is 17 years old to rent a trailer you need to be 16, I had to show her the U-Haul website were it says it and she wouldn’t look at it, rude replies that he needs to be 18, but on the website it says 16 but renting a truck 18, finally after an argument and me being their to convince her and her calling her boss she got convinced and allowed him to rent trailer, then they give him a dolly instead after finding a problem with the trailer that we rented, they said there no replacement but me going online it allowed me to rent another trailer which it means they do have another trailer available, had to talk to 2 employees and they were rude, even the customer service if you call them they are not better than these people, this is a fairly new place and big which they need to have a good customer service to drag people to this location, but honestly they just lost one!!! ?
